Hi All! Anyone out got some recommendations for a good allergy forum? DS had scratch & blood tests yesterday. Eggs, cats, shellfish & sesame. :(

I really need to start gathering information before I start going all radical.

my fave is www.kidswithfoodallergies.org There are free parts and pay for parts. Totally worth it, and I am NOT a person who usually pays to join a group. This is the one I check the most often, where I post questions, etc. Tons of really good, informative BTDT advice. When/if you join, make sure you include as much info as possible in your first post or siggy. It will really help people help *you*.

There is also FAAN http://www.foodallergy.org/

and AAAI is at http://www.aaaai.org/patients/publicedmat/tips/foodallergy.stm

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Please feel free to PM me if you want.

Ditto to all these! Just what I would have posted!

Thanks so much!! This is all so frustrating! DS has had eggs before and had the flu shot last fall, but his reaction to the egg scratch test was pretty big. Same with shellfish, and he loves shrimp, eaten tons of it. He's had reactions to something, but we just can't pin it down. Also he tested positive to "cat" and we have one.

So I'm in an education and planning mode. I'm starting a food journal hoping that will shed some light. Should have done this earlier!

Thank y'all so much!
