Tomorrow is DS's last day of kindergarten. I made this for his teacher, but am not sure if it is cheesy or not. I know a lot of teachers get stuff and then throw it away after the kids leave for the summer.

Do you think this is something she might keep around?

I think that's adorable. And I love that you made it. I would have totally hung it in my classroom! I loved handmade gifts (either mom's or kids) the best.

I was a teacher and received some junk over the years (although it all meant something to me).
I would have loved that and would have hung it in my classroom. Very nice!

I think it's extremely creative and cute. It's already done so I don't see why you wouldn't give it to her.

Love It!!!
Teachers in my building always had cute things like that hanging in their rooms. I still have all the little notes/cards and books made by my kids.

At first, I thought I would cut the crayons with a pair of kitchen shears. That did not work because some of the crayons wound up uneven. I ended up using one of my DH's Cutco Steak knives. It worked great and the entire project only took me about 3 hours!!

Please!! I found it while looking up stuff for teacher appreciation stuff a few weeks ago. Lucky you - only needing a "T"!!! I do wish that I would have positioned the crayons a little better so that the card-stock "W" would not have shown so much on the right hand side, but oh well - it was a learning experience...ENJOY!
