So...I weaned my son about six/seven months ago but still have milk in my breasts!? I called my doctor and he wants to give me a breast exam, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this. If you have, did you ever find out why?

This is very normal. Once you have established a full milk supply, it often takes many months to fully go away.

I had this for 9 months. The doctor did bloodwork and everything came back normal. It went away after that.

perfectly normal. I could still express drops of milk for years after my son weaned.

Thank you all for your responses. It's good to know that I'm not abnormal! I did go to the doc and he's doing blood work just in case.

Mine ended about 12 months after weaning. Sigh.

This is very normal. I would cancel the dr appt.

I am 2 months out and still have milk. On the plus side, our boobies don't look as deflated as quickly! LOL

You mean it gets worse?! LOL The doctor's office called, and my bloodwork came back normal.

Just piling on to say, me too. I had milk until I got pg again. My dr said it was totally normal. Of course, I only knew I had it (and that it had stopped again) because I was fascinated by it and kept "checking" every month or so to see if I could express a little bit out. ;) A lot of my friends have it, too.

But I bet you feel a lot better having all that normal bloodwork anyway! I know I would...
