I know there is a general ratio or fat content to breastmilk and I know all about hindmilk and foremilk etc.

In the last week, my pumped output has dropped by about 20% on average per pumping. But, after looking at the bottles in the fridge, it looks like the fat content has WAY increased!

Is that possible? And if so, why?

I have noticed that it changes with the weather. Like, if we are having a hot spell my milk will be more watery and there is more of it.

Interesting. It could be a temp change based on your water intake, the weather, etc??

I think the breast are just smart enough to know when baby needs more hydration due to hotter weather. :)

Like how we need to drink more water if we are hot and sweaty.
