When I was little I had a doll that had buttons, zippers, ties etc to practice that stuff with. I bought DS an Elmo a few years ago that had a button zipper but I don't like it. I would love to hear if you have a toy that your child uses to practice these skills with that you like.
Thanks so much

When I was little, my mother made me a 'busy book' with those types of things to keep me quiet in church, waiting rooms, etc. Here is a similar one on Amazon:

Although, if you have a crafty relative or friend, maybe they could make one for your little one (customized with their name & interests?)...

Else, there are the Melissa & Doug boards, such as this one:

Alex toys makes a dress up frog. I came across it on Amazon the other day - it looks cute and gets good reviews.

DS got a mouse stuffie for this purpose from Lakeshore Learning several years ago. There are different shaped buttons, velco, snap, zip, laces to tie. I don't see it on their website.

I also made him one of these but only on a single piece of felt, not a book. I used three buttons and one snap on the front. (I had to sew a button on the back side to reinforce the snap, so sometimes DS buttons a heart onto the back instead of the front as a joke to make me laugh)
