Cleaning crayon off chalkboard

So, dd1 decides that her white crayon resembles chalk and decides to scribble all over the chalkboard side of her easel. Any ideas on how to remove it? I haven't tried anything stronger than water. I thought that I'd come to the experts to find out before moving to something stronger!

Did you try a Mr. Clean magic eraser?

I've gotten crayon off of surfaces using Goo Gone before, but I don't remember if I used it on chalkboard surfaces. But it would be worth a try!
