I really like the city mini but live in NYC and have to deal with snow for a few months a year. Can the city mini hack it?

Hmmm not the best wheels as they are plastic (although larger than say a maclaren's). For snow, i would go with the bj city elite or classic (air filled tires) as it will be much easier. On the flipside, they are larger (longer) strollers, although quite compact for a jogger type. It's up to you which is more important, easier push or compactness :)

No, they are not meant for snow. As the PP said, you would need bigger air tires for that.
