Silly aquadoodle question -

Can you fingerpaint with water on the aquadoodle or can you only use the pen? I would think you could but wasn't sure if this would ruin it for some reason? I did a search on here and read reviews on Amazon but can't remember any of them talking about not using the pen.

Also, do they take along time to dry? Trying to decide b/w the regular and the travel size...

Yes you can fingerpaint. I like the full size because it takes time for the water to dry and leave a clear canvas. The travel size seems like the child would fill it up quickly and then be bored.
