I'm due in a month and am stressing b/c I want to have the cutest nursery setup, but the prob is that I'm not creative at all and just have no idea what to do. We just got the furniture delivered. We've got pink walls and white furniture. The bedding is pink, with yellow, green, and white in it. Any suggestions as to what to do to make it cute?

Also, where should I go looking for decorations? What stores are good? I'm thinking Pottery Barn Kids, maybe? We're prob taking a day trip to find some stuff and I need suggestions as to where to go.

TIA!

I don't know what kind of stuff you like- you can find cute wall hangings at Kohl's or Home Goods. You can buy those vinyl transfers (decals) at Target. You can buy wooden letters at Michael's to spell out your daughter's name and hang that on the wall- thats a popular choice that looks really nice. You can either paint the letters or just buy white ones and leave them white. In your case, it would prob look great in white.

Hmm...you can also find cute stuff in Buy Buy Baby (if there is one near you)- they have nice wall hangings or cute pegs. They also have prepainted letters that are pricey but so cute.

You can also probably try Burlington/Baby Depot.

Have you looked at the thread where people posted pics of their completed nurseries? Maybe you can get some ideas there.

One other things is- if you bought a bedding set, you can hang the quilt on the wall since you wont actually be able to use it for a while.

Of course you might also want to leave room to hang pictures of your baby once she is born.

Good luck! I'm sure it will be beautiful!

I had fun looking at the different nurseries on the Rate My Space website. There are tons of creative ideas there.

I suffer from the same lack of creativity and need a picture to inspire me.

Have fun.

I loved looking at Rate My Space when I was pregnant to get ideas. I also would google images for nurseries. Homegoods, which is owned by the same company as TJ Maxx, always has adorable girl accessories for the nursery. You can often find really cute Pottery Barn-like things at Target as well. Check out the bedding section and the baby section for ideas at Target. Have fun and Congratulations!

Wallies have some cute things too......
We have pink walls and white crib furniture too......I hung the cute flowers from ikea on her walls to use as her nightlights.....pink gingham curtians and I found a cute flower border that had the same colors and cut the flowers out and pasted them on the walls....

Are there any shapes or patterns in the bedding that you could pull as decorative ideas?

Etsy! I found some cute prints there and bought cheap frames with a coupon from Kohls. There's all kinds of creative stuff on there at all price ranges, and I love supporting individual artists.

We liked PBK for their shelves and storage containers. The shelves break up the wall space nicely and provide a place to display pictures or other keepsakes.

I also love all of the beautiful, creative items at www.etsy.com. I like the vinyl monograms available at many sellers such as these:

I wonder if you could have someone create some custom art on etsy using your bedding for inspiration? It cannot hurt to put out a request.

For windows, consider trimming some basic panels with pom poms for a more custom fun look.

Also consider pretty lighting or a chandelier. PBK has plenty of lamp shades that would match your decor.

Pretty knobs can dress up an otherwise plain dresser. Anthropologie has a nice selection: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/category.jsp?popId=DECORATING&selectedProductSize=&navAction=poppushpush&navCount=3&pushId=DECOR_HARDWARE&itemCount=-1&id=DECOR_HARDWARE_KNOBS_HANDLES&selectedProductSize1=

Good luck and have fun!
