Hi. I'm looking to buy my son one of those tube/tunnel things (not sure what they're called exactly). The ones where the baby can crawl through. Does anyone have any recommnedations on a specific brand?

Thanks!

how about something like this one?

my mother just got a used little tykes peek-a-boo tunnel from a friend of hers- but its a much smaller tunnel and besides I don't think they are making them anymore. You'd have to buy one on ebay or something like that. Anyways I have a feeling you are looking for something more like the one in the link above. HTH!

DD got a Playhut set like this one for Christmas when she was 15 months. http://www.tinkertots.com/ulmabypl.html

I think my dad got it at Target. We still play with it every week. I love it that we can fold it up and take it down, and only use some of the parts instead of all at once if we don't want to.

My friend picked up one for me at IKEA, it was $16. It collapses for storage. That's about all I can tell ya about it..

It is just the tube/tunnel.. no tent like parts, etc.

I like Pacific Play Tents, myself, because they make see through tunnels. Especially when we're having playdates, I like to see what is happening inside that tunnel :) They're easy on find on amazon, etc.

Costco.com has a bunch:

One thing I'd pay attention to is the diameter of the tunnel. I bought a Ryan's Room set a few years ago (tunnel plus two tents) from Costco. Not sure of the exact dimensions, but it is wider than the IKEA one based on what I've seen in the store.

A clear one seems interesting. My son was scared to go through the tunnel for the longest time.

We have the schilling (not sure of spelling) peek-a-boo tunnel (I think that's what it's called). It's mesh on top and solid on the bottom. I got it on Amazon and it gets great reviews although DS doesn't love it. But, other kids who have used it seem to think it's great. The only problem with the mesh is that it can get snagged.

For several years in a row Costco had great deals on the Ryan's Room tent/tunnel sets. I think ours (2 tents, one tunnel) was somewhere around $25, but that was 3.5-4 years ago. I don't think I saw the Ryan's Room set this past year at Costco though, but I may have missed it.

If I wanted just a tunnel, I'd probably look at Ikea if you have one nearby.

I got the See Me tunnel from Discount School Supply and my kids really like it. It's mesh on one side so you can see them (although my kids cover that part up with blankets LOL) They run lots of sales on that site too.

We have this one and love it too. Very sturdy and folds more compactly then the ikea one. I think it is a larger diameter as well. We've also gotten some cute tunnels at tuesday morning in the past for $10ish (for gifts).

Just a warning on this one. We got this for DD and she split open her chin on one of the metal rings.

I know several people who have this tube and their kids love it. I was pretty sure it was just plastic in the tube, not metal? Then again, I haven't taken one apart to check it out.

We have a Pacific tunnel that has the see-through side. I like these tunnels because you can add on - we got a Pacific play tent that fits with the tunnel about a year after the initial tunnel purchase. Both have held up well and believe me, ds can be a rough one.
