What would you do for a robot/Wall-e party for 6-7 year-old boys?

I'm drawing a blank.

TIA!

You could get a bunch of Legos and see who can make Lego versions of the various characters. They can get really creative!

A few other ideas from google search:

nice cake:

Examples of activities:

Hide a collection of “junk” and let the children go on a scavenger hunt to find items you have listed.
Provide boxes and construction paper, let the children break up into teams to build a rocket ship or a robot based on one of the characters in the movie.
Set up a series of clues in the back yard and have the children find their way back to planet earth.

Decor: glow in dark stars w/ black light, star projector

Food: robot food like oil (chocolate pudding), nuts/bolts (trail mix)

They could build a robot and take it home as a favor...here's a cute one from ziggetyzoom:

My son is turning 5 in a couple of weeks, and he has been wanting a WALL-E party for months.

I buy the big Cheerios boxes at Costco. I have been saving them to use as robot bodies. An upright Kleenex box will be the head. Toilet paper tubes will be the arms and legs. I won't have enough materials for each child to do his/her own robot, so this will be a team activity.

I found info online that toilet paper tubes biodegrade in the garden. So each child will be planting a seed in a toilet paper tube (with the bottom sliced and folded up) to take home as part of the environmental theme.

Target has little Rubik's cube party favors. Ours are on sale right now, 4 for $3.99. WALL-E has a Rubik's cube in the movie, so I had to get these. A few weeks ago Target had little reusable bags (not sure what material they are) in the dollar bin, 3 for $1. I got a bunch of those and some glitter paint. They can decorate them as a party activity and then use them as favor bags (again for the environmental theme).

Maybe they could do a solar system activity. My son's friends are too young for this I think, but 6-7 year olds could use different sizes of balls to make a model of the solar system. And/or you could do an activity that involves throwing a ball into/onto a solar system model on the ground. Whoever gets closest to Earth wins (maybe use Bocce ball as a model? or shuffleboard?).

We are cheating on the activities by going to a bouncy house/slide place. We will have legos for kids to play with at the tables since we are not opening presents in the party room and we have an hour to kill in there.

However, I am making a Wall-e cake (from the Wilton pan) and an Eve cake (on my own). For "party favors" we are giving out stickers, a kid generated tip sheet (from T's club at school) on reduce/reuse/recycle. That was all T's idea from the theme of the movie rather than stuff that would go to a landfill for Wall-e to clean up.

If you want to borrow my pan, I can ship it to you this weekend.

That's really sweet, Katie - thanks for offering! The cake is the one thing we had planned already - SIL already has the pan ready to go.

Lots of good ideas, ladies - Thanks!

We ended up sending all the kids home with 2 sunflower seeds potted and a few Wall*e stickers with instructions on how to care for the sunflowers. We did no other party favors, because T himself decided that passing out sheets on reduce reuse recycle was using a lot of paper, LOL.
