Have you made pickles before? help...

Okay... my pickling cucumber plants have LOTS of cukes on them but they seem to be getting ready at different times. Right now I have 12 in my fridge.. that I worry will be bad by the time a bunch more are ready.... So how do you store the ripe ones until you have a enough to pickle?

I've made pickles before, but I've always bought my cukes at the farmer's market. I hope the ones in your fridge stay good until you have enough to make pickles. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
