We are having people over on the 5th of July for a bbq and I need some inspiration.

We usually do a very traditional spread:
hamburgers
hotdogs
baked beans
potato salad
corn on the cobb
watermelon and ice cream for dessert

and our new traition of smores.

To make it festive for the 4th - I sprinkle it with red/white/blue sprinkles. It's a big hit!

And not sure what else. Honestly, we are hosting because I *really* want to make (and eat) that cake!

oooh this looks good. And it was funny that when I went to the food network to find a different recipe, that cake was on the front page!

We typically do hamburgers/hot dogs on the grill. A pasta salad or just chips. Sometimes corn on the cob, we always have watermelon.

Horribly jealous.
I would live in Seattle just for the seafood.
