The clerk today at Target told me that starting Sunday they will begin price matching if you bring in an entire ad from another store. She wasn't sure of the particulars (like if you can do it at check out like I hear you can do at Walmart) but it I am glad to hear they are putting in a positive customer service policy considering how many they have changed recently for the worse.

ETA- here's an article from May about them testing it out--I guess it was positive...

I did a little more googling and found these tidbits....

"Now that Target has expanded the test of its price matching policy to all Minnesota stores and Hudson, Wis., it's time for a closer look.

First, you must bring in the entire ad, which must be current. To get the match price, go to customer service, not the checkout.

You can either go through the regular checkout and then a price adjustment in customer service or have all items, including matched items, rung up in customer service. At Wal-Mart price matches are done at the checkout lanes.

What's remarkable about this change is that groceries are not excluded."

That's great news...thanks for sharing.

It should also help lots of people during the holiday shopping season, and possibly even w/ back to school sales.
