Is it possible to recover lost items on a DVR?

For some reason on July 1st everything that was recorded on our DVR was deleted. My husband and I didn't delete our recordings, they were just gone. Is there anyway for me to recover the items? I was going to call Comcast about it, but I"m not sure that they can do anything. Has anyone had this problem before?

that's happened to us. we have Verizon FIOS and a few times they were doing some kind of update and it reset the DVR box and everything we had on it was lost.

Check your recording settings to ensure there isn't any sort of time limit before your stuff is deleted, although the 7/1 date makes me think it was a system glitch.

I'm 99.9% with Comcast that you can't recover stuff.

Nope. sorry. Not that I know of. We lost about 80 hours of stuff one time when our hard drive froze up and they had to send us another one.
