So I posted "take blvd or take scenera?" etc. We wound up buying a roundabout50 for $150 (amazon - shipped free w/trial of prime) and sending it to Nana's house. I'm glad we did. DS was comfortable and slept well in it on the way to FL and back (10 hours driving total) . That was worth $150.
It also occurred to me that since he'll be 2 soon I will be buying him plane tix and thus can bring the seat back here if I want (without having to check it) , etc.
So, I think it was a good decision and thanks for helping me figure it out.
