Thought I would get a thread started to see what everyone is finding at Target. Most of the toys were at 50 %, although there was a small section that was still 30 %.

I went this morning and they were just marking the Cozy Coupe 50 % off. Lots of other great deals. Magnetix sets were 50 % off, lots of baby dolls, little einstein toys.

Not much at my target a couple days ago. Just some of the science kits that had been there awhile. Are they gearing up for the big pre-Christmas clear out?

My Targets must mark things down later, because I only found summer clothes on clearance on Tues. and Wed. Waiting for the car seats to go down!

Yes, I think so. My Target had 3 aisles of clearance!

My Target had 2 small endcaps of clearance yesterday. There was nothing impressive on the shelves. Also, the clothing that was 30% off was very picked over.

Playmobil Knight's Take A Long Castle - $14.98 (reg $29.99)

There were quite a few things marked on clearance, but not consolidated into a specific aisle.

it's on sale for $10. I'd send you the paypal money and the shipping would be cheap since it's isn't heavy @ all. I wouldn't need the packaging since it's for our kids. Many, many thanks! :)

Nothing impressive at our Target either. The playmobil castle is the ONLY playmobile in the entire store. I swear our store is just phasing out playmobil all together, b/c the selection has always been weak to begin with. NONE of the carseats were on sale either. I'm starting to wonder if our Target is on the slow track...

I just got from my Target, and there wasn't much. I would of loved to of gotten a cozy coupe... oh well. They did have pampers cruisers on clearance (I think the new ones are coming out this weekend.) They were still giving a $5 gift card when you bought two (wasn't advertised on the shelf), so with my 2, $2 off coupons I got size 4's for like 15 cents a diaper.

I stocked our present closet this morning. Several games are 50% or more off. We bought games, like hyper dash and cadoo, for under $8.00.

We also bought a new game (also on sale), "Out of Sight", and had a great time playing it with my 1st grade son --- with modifications. This game used three dice and cards. You scored points by rolling the dice and collecting cards based on the numbers or sums of numbers shown on the dice. The extra challenge was that you had 30 seconds to roll and collect cards and you had to stop the clock before the clock ran out, or you wouldn't get any points in that round --- the trick-- you can't see the timer. My DH and I played with the timer and my son was given 5 rounds. It was a lot of fun and a great way to practice addition. There is also a more advanced way to play if you need even more challenge.

I was told there were even going to be more discounts next Thursday.

There is plenty of clearance at my Target - mostly only 30%. After the crazy deals I got at Kmart, not much was exciting (thankfully since I'm broke!). I did pick up a few items:

Little Pink Franklin baseball glove (so cute!) $2.48
Sunny Patch Rain boots (seasonal section) $4.24
Disney Princess Leapster Game $16.72-4.00 coupon = 12.42

They also had Leapster game systems on clearance for $35 but I already bought one for $18 at Kmart! They had the regular Leapsters in pink too. Other than that, many of the same things as the Kmart sale only higher prices.

I was excited to see different Leapster games and Tag books than Kmart had. I'll print more coupons and keep watching for them to drop below the current 30% off. I have my eye on a few items, but I got such good deals at Kmart that I'm hesitant to buy anything at Target until clearance drops to 75% off. :)

Ok, now that the Kmart sale is over (at least for now), I am officially stalking Target with hopes of finishing up my Christmas and birthday party shopping! I went yesterday (Sat) and there were a bunch more things marked down than the last time I was there earlier in the week. Most things were at 30%. Does anyone have a clue about the markdown schedule? Is there a specific day of the week? I asked someone in the toy dept when I was there, and he said he had no idea.

Went to get loss leaders for back to school supply drive and there was nothing else vaguely interesting. Besides the fact that ours has a cart escalator that entertains T, I can't find anything cool there. None of the cooler items and certainly none of the sales mentioned here.

I found 2 leapster adapters on clearanced for $4.98 at my Target yesterday. I am very happy that I will not have to keep buying batteries for the Leapster to be played with at home. Just have to stock up on batteries for in the car.

They also had the Leapster game system on clearanced for $24.98

Most of the toys were still 30% off today and it looks like people have been buying them at that price (Legos are only 15% off). The plasma cars were gone as were the ball pit balls that I really wanted. A few things had dropped to 50% off including Leapsters, games, and Tag books (I need to print more coupons and go back.) I also saw some items in the wooden toy aisle for 75% off, including the knight figurines and plastic animals. My best find was the wooden Table Top Workbench for $9.08 (75% off).

I went to the Stoughton, MA target today and it was very disappointing.

The Leapster was $24.98 as were the Digi's (sp?), they had several of each if anyone is looking. The Leapster charger was sold out.

They had one Leapster cartridge game (Princesses) for $12.44 no other games seemed to be on sale.

The same Handy Manny/Little Einsteins toys were a lot more than at the Kmart sale last week, I think they were 30% off regular price. Nothing special.

I did find a 8 pack of bubbles for $1.98.

Target toys that were clearanced last week are marked down further this week! They actually had quite a selection of clearance at my store! I got a couple animal bubble blowers for gifts for $5, a talking cash register for $11, 3 blow up duck baths (2 yellow, 1 pink) for gifts clearanced for $6!

My best score was the Summer infant video handheld monitor for $99! The only one on the shelf! I searched 4 targets last week when I heard about it for this thing then come across it by accident today! Wooohoo!

They were marking a bunch of toys down to 50% off when I was there. Most of the toys are still 30% off though.

My 50% of deals today:
Leapster power adapter
Cars leapster game (pre-k to K version)
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tag book
Cars fire rescue play set

Everyone I know is having issues printing the Leapfrog coupons right now so I missed out on saving $7 more. Still good deals though.

I had no clue Target had wedgits. I was just coming to post that I just bought these for DD today. I have always wanted wedgits and thought it might be a good price. I pulled the associate over and had her look up the sku and the word "wedgits" in her gun for more, but sadly that was it. I hunted all around to try to get more pieces. From your post, I guess that kids like them....I wish they would have had more for you and me!!!

Oh-got a leapster charger too and I believe the packing said it works for all models! hope that helps someone!

ETA: I missed out on getting a plasmacar too. would save a lot of fighting to have two of those around here!

That's the only toy I picked up today, too.

My Target - Springfield Ave/Union North (NJ) - didn't have much. Some toys for 30% off and a few for 50% off but nothing stellar. I did grab the Leapster AC adapter even though it was only 30% off - it was the last one on the shelf. There was a good deal on a set of 4 patio chairs - wicker ones from Smith & Hawken (they just went out of business). They were originally around $700-800 and were now $149. Unfortunately, we couldn't use them. I also got a few cheapo snacks, bags of M&Ms for $.79 and some shortbread cookies for the same price. Nothing fantastic yet!

I called my Target today to ask if any further toy markdowns had been made since Tuesday, when I was last there. I was told no. I made a quick stop on the way home from work tonight and of course I couldn't resist going through the toys. There were definitely more markdowns. No 75% but a lot of things that had been previously 30% were now 50%. I got 2 Care Bears at 8.xx and the Playmobil Castle for 14.99.

At my Target, they had the Play Wonder wooden kitchen food (similar to Melissa & Doug). Several were 50% off. Also a nice white wooden doll high chair. Along the same lines as the white wood doll crib that they clearanced about a month or so ago. Would make a nice set if s/o already got one of those. (That was 10.XX. Normally $30.)

The great find for me was the beach towels. Huge double ones and 72 inch singles for 75% off. Less than $3 for a huge fluffy beach towel and just over $4 for the double. Yeah!

Found a few small things today -- a couple of games at 50% off, a Parents camera toy 50% off, several Leapfrog puzzles (only 30% off though). Best find was a Dr. Seuss "Oh the Places You'll Go" game for approx $5, usually around $20. Saw the doll high chair and would really like to get it for DD, however it's not marked down low enough yet...

It was still more than I wanted to spend but since DS birthday is just over a month away I thought I'd get them now since I knew they would sell fast. I got the take along roundhouse for $17.xx
http://www.target.com/Take-Along-Thomas-Friends-Roundhouse/dp/B000068FCA/sr=1-4/qid=1248174641/ref=sr_1_4/178-1407074-6389945?ie=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-toys&frombrowse=0&index=target&field-browse=1038620&rh=k%3Athomas&page=1

and a basic Thomas starter set for $27.xx that looks like it may be this one:
http://www.target.com/Thomas-Friends-Wooden-Railway-Figure/dp/B00004T2XI/sr=1-3/qid=1248175067/ref=sr_1_3/178-1407074-6389945?ie=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-toys&frombrowse=0&pricerange=&index=target&field-browse=1038620&rh=k%3Athomas%2Cp%5F36%3A%2425-%2449&page=1

Also so additional trains like Percy and Rosie for under $5 each. We went back last night and DD really wanted the Dinosour from the Sodor Museum but it was still marked $10 and I didn't want to spend that much on it. Especially since I haven't given DS the train sets yet so I figured it would break by the time his birthday rolls around September 1st.

This was the Kingston, MA store. Most of the sets were already gone though.

My Target had several Leapfrog markdowns.
I found a Leapfrog Clickstart Computer at my Target yesterday. Apparently it was a return, as it was open-box and the included games were missing. They had it marked $11.29, down from $44.99!! With the $10 off coupon previously posted, I got it for $1.29!!!!! Even if I have to buy new games, I think that is friggin awesome!!:yay:
Also, they had a Fridgewords Magnetic word builder(shaped like a plane) on clearance for $9.98, down from $24.99. I had the $4.00 off coupon for any fridge game and got it for $6.98!!!! Turns out they had incorrectly put it on clearance, but the mgr gave it to me for the red tagged price anyway!!:bighand:
I also picked up a couple of the LF puzzles for $2.49/each.

They had some Tatiri brush and mirror sets marked down to $7.49, down from $14.99.
Also, a Step2 naturally playful picnic table for $40.57, down from $57.99.

Found this sand/water table for $36.xx - anyone know if that's a good deal?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10774419

Bought it just in case as there was only one. Saw a bunch of the Step2 sand tables (or sandboxes? forgot - oh, mommybrain!), as well. Whichever it was, they were not on huge clearance but around the $40-$50 mark.

The Sonic leapster game was $17.xx as was the Imaginary Friends game which we'd purchased previously. The clearance stuff was scattered all over the place - some endcaps but mostly in the aisles. Still, nothing to compare to the K-Mart sale. Sigh. ;)

I scored the last Cozy Coupe for $29.99 yesterday. It was the same one they had last time I was there (only one) but had finally been marked down - and to 50%! I saw the Playmobil Take Along Castle and now I'm kicking myself for not scanning it. That would have been a super gift at 75% off! I had my niece and my girls with me and I was having a hard time scanning toys with an 8 1/2 yr old getting crankier than the 11 1/2 month olds!

I got a Tag book for 10 and the leapster converter for 5.

The cashier told me that that markdowns took place last week (7/17-18) and probably wouldn't change until 2 weeks later (7/30-31). Most toys clearanced at 30% still with some 50%. Not much exciting for me unless 75%. Saw several lego sets.

Thanks for posting about the playmobil take a long castle, it was not in the clearance aisle at my store and it was not marked either. I scanned it and it came up 7.48.

My store's clearance aisle was marked to 50% (this was on Monday)

I stopped at Target yesterday. I picked up the Playmobil take along castle for $7.48 (75% off) and a Lego set at 30% off. I know the Legos will definitely not still be around for the next markdown. Most of the stuff was either 30% or 50% off still.

Did they have any more of the Playmobil take along castle? I would love one!

Thanks!

Certain Tag books (Click Clack Moo is the one I remember) were 6.xx at one of my Targets today. Foster's Imaginary Friends Leapster game was 12.xx (before Leap Frog coupon). I also snagged some Play Wonder dress-up clothes . . . they are supposedly "bride," which to me is a little icky, but could easily pass for "princess." The dress was 7.xx, the tiara and bouquet/wand set was 3.xx, and a pair of ballerina shoes were 3.xx too. The white dresses were the ones on clearance; they were on a rack behind some pink ones that weren't.

Didn't see any Leapsters. I did see a pink Didj for somewhere around $35.

The castles are all gone from my area stores. I did buy 2 at 14.99 and am still pleased with that deal, but 7.48 would have been great! If there were any left I would have just returned and rebought.

Rumor has it this is the week for 75%...I'm checking this Thursday for sure!

I found a wooden highchair for 10.xx. It had been marked down to 15.xx, and I was waiting for it to go lower. I figure you can't get a plastic doll highchair for less that $10, so I got it.

I went to three stores today and only one of them was doing markdowns today. People were filling carts up like crazy. One thing I really wanted was a Helmet Hero, but they were still only 30% off. Weird. No really big scores, but here is what I picked up:

Playmobile castle - $7.48 (this was not even marked as clearance)
Word World cow - $2.48
Word World lion - $3.17
Geotrax extension pack - $4.48
Cars popup game - $3.24
Phlat ball tornado - $3.98
Alex tub bubbles - $2.32
Cars race 'n rescue station - $6.24
Little Tikes spinning doodle makers - $3.74
Matchbox lights and sounds hard hat - $5.24
Finger puppets - $1.98
Toothbrush holders - $2.98
Mickey giant bubble wand - $4.98 (only 50% off)
Guess What I Am game - $3.74
2 Nerf blasters for the Wii - $3.74

They had tons of Magnext for 75% off and Legos for 50% off. (My boys are still way too young to play with them though.) I wanted the Marble run but someone snagged the last one before I could get to it. The only thing I really wanted but could not find was a big Geotrax set. I saw several at a different store and I'm hoping that they do their markdowns tomorrow so I can get one.

I went to 3 Targets in my area tonight. One had 75% off toys! The other two were still at 30-50%. I found some awesome deals!

Skyrail Suspension Rollercoaster (this is a marble run) 7.48
Pixos 1050 set 4.98
Pixos storage unit 2.48
Science Wiz sets (Chemistry, Electricity, Light, Energy) 5.18
Fisher Price 2 in 1 Learning Cash Register 6.98
Hyper Jump game 3.72
Matchbox Supersonic Airport 3.74
Moonsand Princess Castle 4.74
GeoTrax On The Go Zoo 8.24
Cranium Cadoo game 3.75

The Cranium game ended up being free, with overage, because I was able to use the 5.00 off Target coupon. I wanted to be honest and pointed out to the cashier that the coupon should be adjusted down, but it went through and he said it didn't have to be! I also saw AquaDoodle mats for 6.xx. There were no Cabbage Patch dolls left, and no Thomas the Train or clearance Legos left.

If anyone is wondering about the Science kits, they are actually pretty good. My DS is a mechanical guy who likes to know how everything works. He got the electricity set last year for Christmas and loved it. We did mount the parts to a board so they were easier for him to use.

I must say it was very weird going on to the other Targets and seeing all of the items I had just bought at much higher prices!

I picked up three of the science kits for Christmas - I'm glad to see the good reviews. My son is, as he says, "a Man of Science." I also picked up some Moon Sand for $5 and three Hullabaloo games for $5 each - the birthday closet is stocked! I did not see the Cozy Coupe - but I think I need to hit Target tomorrow. FWIW, Atlantans, I was at the Target on Camp Creek Parkway - the clearance selection was huuuuuuuge.

Coupon? Where did you find it?

The most recent Target coupons are always at Target.com. Scroll down and look for "Grocery coupons." You can see all of the current Target coupons at www.hotcouponworld.com. Click on Target coupons and you'll see the list! HTH!

On another note, I just looked at reviews for some of the clearance toys I grabbed. I might be returning the Pixos and Hyperjump game as they were poorly reviewed by lots of people...maybe the Moonsand too as I read in Around the House how messy it is!

Moonsand IS messy but it vaccuums right up (even off carpet) and does not dry up so it can sit out for a while for play. Worth it for that price for a winter day IMO.

Went yesterday with DH and DC's :30:.

I had purchased the take along castle for $15 a couple of weeks ago. I remembered to take my receipt and found one left for $7.48 so rebought and returned with my original receipt.

No marathons, which we need for grandmoms car. I suspect they were already clearanced as there weren't any on the shelf! Nothing else looked good there.

I may have to take a trip to the other target that's a bit further from us.....

With reference to pixos - I bought these for my two kids for xmas last year 5 and 4 thinking that it was better than those iron fuse beads you can get at michaels or ac moore since you don't have to iron it in the end. I find loading the pen too time consuming - although my 5 year is starting to get it (7 mo later). I would opt for the fuse beads - still builds fine motor and you don't have to help as much IMO.

Good stuff on 75% off this morning at my Target --

Thomas train set (originally 49.99) for 12.xx
Geotrax sets 4.48 - two different ones (just tracks and accessories)
Guess What I Am game 3.xx
Cranium Cadoo 3.xx
Diego camera 2.xx
Hanging stuffed animal toy storage 2.48
Blokus 3D game 6.xx
Popup safari game 3.24

Plus a ton of other stuff. Saw the 5.00 Leapfrog puzzles marked down to 1.xx

I drive myself a little crazy with these sales buying things the kids won't be able to play with for years, but what good prices! And sometimes we end up with good presents too...

Well, I had some luck at my Target. Got a bunch of those Nat Geo kits and other science kits for 75% off. I'm kind of at the point where I am sick of buying toys for my kids and would rather buy, "kits" of fun learning materials for them. So, this really worked out. I got the ant kit, lunar kit, microscope/tv kit, electricity kit and basic science kit. Found only one lego set for 50% off. Found a Graco Nautilius, but it was still only 15% off?!?! I actually lugged it to scanner to double check. What doesn't make sense is that they had other carseats that were 30-50% off, but they were evenflo and a snugride22... grrr! Our Marathons exp in December, so I'm already trying to scout out replacement seats, it would have been really nice to get the nautilius for 50% off. Oh and I scored on a, "maternity" dress for 75% off that will actually work well as a breastfeeding friendly dress for only $7.xx that I'm going to wear to my friend's rehearsal dinner, so yay, I don't have to shop for something to wear.

I found a Leapster princess game (hiding in Electronics), the "Guess who I am" game for $3.74 and also Hullabaloo which I may go back and pick up now that I found the coupon. Also, got two of the butterfly garden kits http://www.amazon.com/Insect-Lore-1010-Butterfly-Garden/dp/B00000ISC5/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1249046929&sr=8-1 for $3.xx each. There was some more stuff but I tried to hold back....

After reading the reviews on the Guess Who I Am game I think I will go back and get more for gifts.

I found a link to the coupons on this website.
The store that had the cradle had about 6 of them so I may go back and get it.

I wish I could have found the princess Leapster game! I will have to check out a couple of other stores today!

Little Einsteins rocket tub toy ~ $2.xx (we already have one but the boys fight over it every time they take a bath together)
Wild Go Fish card game ~ 1.31

billysmommy can I ask which store in MA? I checked Stoughton last night and there were no Leapster games :(

I did find:

A viewmaster projector for 5.xx
Pack of 2 Handy Manny tools 2.48
Pack of Cars Mega Blocks (small) 2.48
Some Pixos...between $2 and 3

I searched the game aisle and found nothing! no playwonder sets. I saw a cool wooden bowling set but it was only 30% off.

Darn, I meant to check in electronics for Leapster stuff and forgot..that's what happens when you go 45 min before closing time!

We did the Insect Lore butterfly kit a while back with the kids, and it was a fantastic experience. Well worth the $20-25 it cost, so at that price a total bargain (I think I bought the butterfly house thing for $20, and then you have to send in the coupon plus shipping and handling for the larvae).

Went yesterday to 2 Targets and hit up the members BRU thing for diapers.

One Target had a great selection and I should have bought more..I behaved :(

Geotrax track kits $4.48 ..picked up elevation and a regular set.
Geotrax Zoo for $8 something
Mickey Mouse & Donald little race cars for $2.48
Some matchbox tonka car things for $1.49
Some random bath toys for like .70

I was on the hunt for any carseat deal on a MA or the Leapster..really really wanted to snag a Leapster but couldn't find it less than full price!

Wish I had looked at the Cozy Coupes, we could use another so they stop fighting over our 1!

I just went to the Framingham store, many of the aisles are pretty bare, they are starting to restock items.

I did find:
1 Our Generation vanity for $7.12
Nancy Drew for Didj $7.48 (used $5.00 coupon)
VSmile games - Backyardigans & Scooby -Doo
Discovery Channel Projector $5.48
Soap and mold tub stuff $1.xx
Spa Factory kit $3.48

They had a few other games and a couple for a Leapster (off hand, I forget what)
Several Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys, Diego items, and many other odds and ends.

Helloooooooooooooooo :)

Just got home from a fantabulous "right place at the right time moment". I went to the target that is about 50 minutes away and arrived at 9am. I made a b-line for the marathons. They actually had all the baby gear in a large endcap marked clearance and it was very organized. Two marathons were there with a sticker of $237. An associate asked if I needed help, so I had him scan them and $237. :crying: I asked about when it might get marked down but no one knew.

I went and picked up some dipes ( I had a ton of pull-up and huggies and pampers coupons and they all worked-got a huge box of pullups priced at $20 for only $12).

I casually walked by the carseats a bit later, and the sign had changed for 50%:applause:. got a marathon for $137!!! Then about an hour later , noticed a nautilus for only $84. That's a good price, right? I remember paying about $150 for DD's. I picked it up. Now we have to decide what to put in grandmom's car! I am happy.

I got disney princess and cars leapster games for $2 or so and the Chica Chica Boom Boom Tag book for $.48 (but don't have a Tag.....yet).

got some huggies super sensitive body wash for almost free-don't know how my $1 coupon seemed to come off for each bottle.

Oh-a shake N Go speed car in pink for the raceway from the Kmart Deal for only about $3.60. Some thomas die-cast cars for $5 from $18. I put back the pop up game. Didn't scan the coupe, no plasma cars...

that's all I can remember for now. I had a lot of little $1 and $2 princess figures and such in my cart, but put them all back-I just don't want any more stuff that is fun for a minute!!

LOL! I was very surprised how much clearance stuff was still left on Thursday. There was actually a lot more than what I picked up. So someone else must have cleaned it out after me. :)

I just returned from Framingham and was happy that ett left me plenty of stuff ;)

About 6 Target employees were reorganizing the clearance to a few aisles. I got:

2 Tag books (and we don't have the Tag system yet) but I used coupons.
my main reason for going...the Leapster Foster's Home game. $1.22 after coupon yippee!
Another Cars Megablocks set for $2.48
No Cranium games, but I got a chess/checker set for $2.48 and a domino set for $1.22.
A cars mini toy (with Red the fire engine) for $6.xx
Some of the card games people have mentioned here.
A playwonder sandwich set $2.88

They had GeoTrax for $6.xx if anyone is looking. Lots of Handy Manny stuff. Shake and Go pink cars.

All the other Leapster stuff was off the shelf. I asked an employee and they said they've boxed a lot of stuff up while reorganizing the area.

I thought it was frustrating that some of the outdoor toys/bubbles were still only 50% off. You'd figure they'ed rather get rid of that stuff.

Oh and Stoughton had two Cozy Coupe Anniversary editions, but I didn't scan them but others mentioned they were $14.xx....I don't need one that's for sure.

My trunk is full of this stuff and last night's haul. I haven't told DH yet ;)

Mine didn't really have anything on clearance that they didn't have last week. Some of it was further marked down though. I found 2 Britax Marathons on clearance so I lugged them to a scanner and they still came up $237...the sign was for 30% but I thought I had better double check. No luck though.

I detoured to a Target that I have never been to on my way home from work. I went to the one in Watertown, MA.

They had a lot of stuff left. They had about 5 Our Generation vanity sets. Leapster Foster's game, Nancy Drew Didj game, VMotion games, there were 2 Cozy Coupes 30th anniv cars, but I did not scan for a price.

Best of all, I brought a printout from slickdeals and they refunded me $26.
I got $6 back on a Didj game making it $1.48,
$10 off a Leapster system bringing it down to $2.48
and $10 off Didj system bringing it to $7.48.

If anyone needs the coupons, go to Slickdeals, under post #1 at the bottom, open the .pdf file.

I saw several yesterday in the baby/toddler toy aisles, but I passed them up because I bought one at the after Christmas 75% off clearance. (The one I have has a removable stearing wheel that lights up and makes sounds though.) The funny thing is that I was at Target yesterday at about 8:15 am and the markdown team was just finishing. One of the ladies said that she was going to hurry and clock out so that she could buy the toy she had her eye on. Turns out it was the sort and scoop. She also proceeded to fill her cart with several other toys that I had passed on. :) I hope you can find one!

I did this the other day for some dishwasher soap I bought and I forgot the coupon on my kitchen table. I was told you have to come back before the coupon expires.

Can I just say that this is getting as bad as the Kmart thread? I'm now wanting to go to a third store. I HAVE to stop! Now I wish I checked the cozy coupe for my now 4 month old niece! Bad bad bad. We were downtown on Thursday and I wanted DH to stop at the South Bay Target to check but traffic was horrific and he would not have been pleased. Now I wish I stopped.

Question are these clearance items returnable? I'm having some buyers remorse on some little things I bought. More junk we probably don't need (Disney Princess figurines etc.) For some reason I recall people saying in the past that you only get the current clearance price back on "clearance"...or is that holiday/seasonal???? TIA!

Question about the leapster $10 coupon - they took it on the leapster? the coupon says leapster 2 so I didn't even try.

Actually it wouldn't surprise me. I've used Huggies Regular Diaper coupons when I've bought Pull-Ups and didn't have a pull-up coupon and the cashier didn't have to override it or anything. I think if it's for the same brand it goes through.

Although I did notice today that I had trouble with the $4 off a Tag book coupon, I think it was b/c the book was $3.48, it wouldn't go through but the cashier called the manager and he overrode it for the entire $4, I figured he'd do it for the $3.48. Go figure??

But I did get:
Step 2 Push Buggy $25.xx

Geotrax zoo $8
wolverine toy $6
wolverine motorcycle toy $5
Diego Doodlepro $5
2 vsmile vmotion games $6.22 each (Wonderpets and Scooby-doo)
vsmile Backyardagains $5
Bratz vanity toy (gift for the cousin) $6.22

and for upcoming baby showers!:
FP select-a-show soother (projects onto ceiling or wall) $5
FP Rainforest 1-2-3 Musical Gym $10.02
and get this!!! My best score!!!
FP Precious Planet Deluxe Musical Activity Gym $14.98

The 2 Step2 toys came from the first store that I went to, and I score the rest at the 2nd store.

They had other goodies, but I was trying to be good. Every time I tried to put something back, something else ended up in my cart :P

After reading the reviews on Amazon we won't be keeping them, but I may try swapping them at Walmart for the doubles I need since I still only have 1 Wall-e Game and 1 Princess one. It is good that I did not find more, I'm getting myself in trouble with all these bargains.

That's a great deal on the Leapster! I wish I found one, although we have a Leapster2, it would have been a great gift for my nephew.

I saw Duplos in clearance, but I don't know if they were supposed to be there! They were in a clear bag.

Those were probably megablocks. Some of those come in a clear bag. I don't think any Legos are sold in bags.

My local Target had nothing. We were about an hour out of town for a bike ride today and DD and I stopped at the local Target while DH and DS were riding. They had 2 aisles of 50-75% off! I found a Parent's camera for 2.4x, slip and slide for $5, baby einstein rocket ship bath toy (thanks pp), pixos 1.74, moldable bath soap 3.4x, chicka chicka boom boom and cat in the hat Tag books (I don't have a system yet) for 3.4x, used both a $4 and $3 coupon, making them free.

I wish I would've found a doll cradle, but was pretty happy with what I got. Gift closet and PTing bribes!

Have you heard the characters insulting each other? According to Amazon, some reviewers mentioned continuous use of "stupid" and rude arguing between characters. It would be nice if maybe they changed it.... because if that's true I'm definitely not going to give it to my kids who will be at the young end starting with their Leapsters anyway.

My Targets must mark things down later, because I only found summer clothes on clearance on Tues. and Wed. Waiting for the car seats to go down!

The Tulsa, OK, Target at 71st and Hwy 169 had 4 Britax Marathons (pink I believe) for $239 (reg. $289).

I don't get why all stores aren't the same. It's all computerized right? Shouldn't "corporate" be able to just enter which items are marked down in the "main system" and make it nationwide? Is each store really individually marking down each item by UPC #? That seems so inefficient!

PPs have mentioned "the mark down team", are hoards of Target employees really marking down items one by one? I really don't get it.

Grabbed a green and blue plasma car for $29.xx today (50 percent off). It was the only one on the shelf.

DS has played the Foster's game a couple of times since I bought it on Friday. I haven't heard "stupid," but I have heard arguing ("did not," "did too," etc.). All the other Leapster games are on sale this week for $19.99, by the way -- if you use the $5 coupon, that's a pretty good deal for your choice of games. I'm thinking of going back for Get Puzzled.

It sounds inefficient, but I'm guessing the stores with higher inventory have their prices cut more while stores in more urban areas, with likely less inventory left, can afford to wait for more aggressive markdowns in hopes of attracting customers who are content getting just 15% off. It's target's way of trying to maximize their profit on clearance items rather than creating a massive sell off at once for 50 or 75%......in the end, the salaries they pay for the pricing employees would still be paid anyway since they likely have other duties in the store aside from pricing.

ETA: My guess is that Target likely enjoys all of the web publicity these type of posts get them toooooooooo!

Yeah I guess that makes sense. I wish someone on BBB would get a job at Target so we could be informed on exactly what goes on!

BTW, has anyone gotten the link that shows if an item is available at a store to work? It keeps saying "try back later". Is it the UPC code that you punch in? Is that the same as DCPI (or whatever people ask for) and what the heck does that stand for?

I asked an employee and he told me that it's each store on its own. They choose when to drop prices on which items.

I went to 2 different Target stores today and here is what I found:

**Little Einsteins Rocket's Tub Adventure $2.97

**Puzzibits 3-in-1 (has 450 pieces) $4.98

**Tonka sit and scoop $9.24
(not sure what to do with the Tonka sit and scoop since my son is
almost 5 years old)

Also, quick question, which Lego sets were on sale? Was it just certain sets?

I'm still searching for the Playmobil Take-Along Castle. Maybe I'll get lucky

nope. i usually find that the prices at the three targets nearest me (all with in 15 miles of each other) are different. i think that part of (clearance mark downs) depends on individual store inventory.

i once found spot shot (carpet cleaning spray) cheaper (regular price) at one target in my area than at another only 10 miles away.

I don't have it but have you been able to get the link to work for the inventory checker? I tried it the other day and it wasn't working. I got the link from the coupon thread here.

And what exactly is the DCPI number --- is it on the price tag or on the item somewhere? On the receipt? Thanks!

Thanks to your post I stopped at Target this am to look at the Graco Nautilus. I scanned it and it was still $140+ so I was bummed and was going to pass. One of the Target workers saw me scanning it and I told her I heard it was marked down even more. She said they hadn't gotten to them yet and scanned it for me then and it came up $85.xx. I was so excited since I needed 2. My Marathons expired and I needed new seats desperately. I had to call DH to come get them b/c I couldn't fit them in my car but I am glad I never ordered them from Amazon which I had been about to do multiple times. Ended up stopping at another Target and bought 2 more for DH's car. Paid for them and sent DH to pick them up this evening.

Thanks much!

I did get a Nautilus for $84 but am thinking I dont need it...I really really wanted to snag a Marathon!

I may have my sister look who lives in N.C.!

My 3 1/2 yr old is in a Nautilus in DH's car (which he rarely rides in) and the baby(10 mos) is in a roundabout(RF)...

In my van which is where we all usually are the 3yr old is in a Marathon and the baby is getting ready to come out of the snugride.

We bought a Scenera for the baby to go into in DH's car once we move the Roundabout into the van but I really would rather he be in a Britax...

Okay, after re-reading my post can someone tell me why I bought the Nautilus?????haha

Summer toys dropped to 75% off today! (Water toys including pools, floats, and slip-n-slides are still only 50% off.) They still had a pretty good selection but I restrained myself and only bought what I was looking for:

64 oz Gazillion bubbles (x2): $2.xx
Air Hog havoc flyer (I think that's what it's called): $4.xx
Pack of 3 sand trucks: $1.48

I also saw:
excavator sandbox: $12.xx (?)
picnic/sand table: $14.xx (?) (someone grabbed it after I passed it up)
play wonders bounce around: $9.xx (also snatched up when I put it back on the shelf)

Something odd that I noticed today...

On Monday a local Target had 4-5 of the step 2 push around buggies and the inventory checker showed them as in stock. I started at that store this morning but they did not have any, so I went to the Target up the road that had only one a few days ago. I found 4-5 of the buggies at the other store, even though the inventory checker said they were out of stock! So, I guess it is true that Targets will move clearance toys from one store to another based on sales.

Gazillion bubble 8 oz bottles .74
Gazillion bubble 6 pack 1.24 (should have picked up more for favors)
Playwonder sandwich set 1.44 (will be returning the one from last week at 2.xx)
3 piece sand molding set in butterfly (they also had dinosaur) 1.24

The Little Tikes bubble blowers are $2.48 they had a lot of bubble related stuff.

Thanks for the tip, Stratosphere03!!! I did not know there is such tracker system. Cool.

I called two stores with limited availability. They said that they have one left based on their computer system, but they cannot find it on the shelf. So, it could be system error. White Plains, NY wasn't too bad. I got three tag books for $3.40 each and a sprinkler attachment for $2 something.
They had some good deals on water slides, bubbles, cabbage patch (no many left), sand box sets. Lots of party favor/stocking stuffer things.

I FINALLY have a Target score to report (the Targets around me never have the kinds of deals that you all post here). Anyway, I got the Step2 Picnic Table for $14.49 and the Step2 Buggy for $12.87.

For what it's worth, the online inventory site said that the store was out of the Buggy, but I found one on the shelf (the last one). There were still 4-5 tables left and this was in the East Hanover, NJ store, if anyone is looking.

How much would you charge to delivera table to Cape May, NJ ? Great score! I am really tempted to check it out but I think DH would about die if I drove there yet again!

I saw the wood bowling set and it was so cute but I passed...I could just see my 3 yr old whipping either that hard ball or pin at my 10month old. :(

URGH-- all the little tubes of animals that were there yesterday were WIPED OUT today. there were two opened tubes with animals spilling out but the one in better shape was bugs which we already have-- so i passed on that :)

i did get two of the wooden butterfly jump ropes, the dino sand molds, and A BIG GIGANTIC PLASTIC TRUCK. though the ropes and molds could have snuck in ...there was no way i was sneaking in the truck. then they also had a plastic wagon that i thought would be good for storing things when lu wasn't play.... not a ride in, but a "carry your toys in" wagon. so , yeah, i bought TWO HUGE PLASTIC THINGS thinking i'd see which one she liked better and drag one back to target (for the space issue/not the price issue)...i was relying on daddy being like "what the heck" when he saw them, and instead he saw the truck and said "oh, it was five dollars, why would you return it?" umhm. he is the one with the space issues...anyhow. i thought the truck would go to our friend's son as a housewarming gift, but i'm thinking perhaps it might have to stay-- lucy climbed into the dumping part and had me push her around in it and dump her out. it was so cute. then she got really into dumping her blocks every time i'd put them in the truck to clean them up. not as cute! :)

I saw 5 of these tables yesterday for $40 (which I passed on). I went to the Targets I saw them at and NOTHING. I saw 15 of the swings yesterday and not one was left.

I did find the Transportation sand & water table for $12.xx, which I have no use for since we already have a sand and water table but I know a friend who will want it.

Other toy deals:
Play Wonder Inflatable bounce/ball pit $9.08
Kites $0.74
Leap Frog Puzzles (set of 3) $1.24

I would love to have found the picnic table.

The clearance signs at my closest Targets still say 30% off although some things, not many, have been further reduced to 50%. I've been stalking the cozy coupe. It's not even on sale at one of them. I never even saw it at the other, so maybe someone snagged it for 30% off. They both had several of the infant swings, so I've waited a few weeks, but they still haven't been further reduced. One is now totally out and the other had only one left, still priced at $17.xx, 30% off. I went ahead and begrudingly bought it yesterday. Now, I'm on a mission to find the Step 2 Buggy. But, I just don't think I'm going to have much luck based on my history! I'm glad some of you are finding such incredible deals. Really, I am. I'm just a teensy bit envious though :)

Stopped by Target on my way to work. They were doing the reset this morning (putting out the new fall toys and accompanying displays). The clearance toys had been relegated to one aisle and were the true dregs of the dregs.

Did see yet another Nautilus for $84.98. Hoping they go to 75% off so I can return the ones I bought at 50%!

Boon LadyBug Pod - 6.xx

I'm so jealous of this. It was still full price at my local store.

I ventured to a third Target this week...I'm crazy.

I got more Gazillion bubbles
Mater Megablox set for $2.74
Dora Carnival game for the PC. $4.98
Fisherprice bug lantern for 2.48
Chicka Chicka Boom Tag book for 3.98, then less a $3 coupon (I didn't have the $4 in my wallet).

Watertown, MA had a Playwonder wooden sandbox with canopy for $25.xx which is 75% off. I was tempted but decided I don't really want a sandbox as there are several cats that come into our yard. It comes with a cover, but I didn't want to risk it.

Oh and I got a $5 off a $75 purchase coupon w/ my receipt. Not a ton but if I happen to go to Target again... ;)

SCORE! SCORE! SCORE!

Ok, ok, so I have been stalking the only two Targets in my area and have come across a few good deals in the last week or two. Last Monday I snapped up the only Britax Marathon (Hannah fabric, March 2009 DOM) for $139.xx!! Yay!:boogie:
MAJOR score this morning.....
Leapfrog tags marked down to $24.98
Apparently they are restocking with the new 32 mb version.
The first Target I went to had them down to only $34.98, and I am soo glad I talked myself out of them then.
The second Target had them marked $24.98, and I also have been carrying around the $10 off coupons!!

$14.98!!:yay:

Sorry, I know this has been asked a few times, but where are the leapfrog coupons? I tried the links from another thread earlier today and could only get the $3 board book coupon to work. I couldn't get the $4 one to print. I bought a Tag Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book for less than $4 a few days ago and didn't have the coupon with me, but figured I would try to return and rebuy with a coupon. Now I can't seem to find the coupon. And I'd like the $10 coupon too since we don't actually own a Tag system yet. TIA

If anyone needs the coupons, go to Slickdeals, under post #1 at the bottom, open the .pdf file.

Thanks so much for this! Please disregard my previous post begging someone to help me find leapfrog coupons.
