Britax & True Fit Clearance at Target

I was at the Revere, MA Target today and they had one Britax Marathon for 125.99 and a First Years True Fit for 132.99.

No, I had to resist! We won't need it for another year and a half so I'm hoping I'll be able to catch next years clearance.

Where do they put the clearanced car seats? In with the regular ones? I checked my Target today and they had the regular row of car seats but nothing was clearanced. I thought about hauling a Marathon to the price check but thought I would look like a moron.

They start out with all of the other car seats at my Target. Sometimes a random seat will be moved to the endcaps, but the boxes are so big that they usually stay put for a while. Carseats were 15% off at two stores near me, but I was at a different store today and none were marked as clearance.

I checked ours too, none on clearance, and no strollers on clearance either although people are finding those on clearance.

Our Target doesn't have any carseats on clearance and they don't even CARRY the truefit... so I guess I won't be seeing any of those on clearance.

Methuen, MA store (across from The Loop) had 3 or 4 MA's (2 pink pattern and 2 other) on "clearance" and they were around $40 off regular price. I didn't drag it to price check to see if it was even lower b/c I didn't need one (already have 2!!!) but was still curious. Two of them were on and endcap and 2 were in the regular aisle. Some Leapfrog stuff was marked down (the Leapster original) etc but nothing for me to go crazy over. I was sad that I didn't find any great deals for my girls.

Mine had the Marathon for $195. The True Fit had a clearance sign but no price listed and no sticker on the one that was left. The Nautilus (grey one, not the pink one) was $140. The high back turbo booster was $34.99. They had a ton of backless turbos for $16. The Evenflo Big kid was on clearance, can't remember the price. The Chase was about $50, I think. The Costco harness/booster, can't remember the name was on clearance as well.

I just picked up a marathon for 195 at our target in NY. Tell me I got a good deal. It is the grey one that I wanted. I was happy with it until I saw your 125 post!

I went to another Target today (about 30 min. away) and scored BIG TIME!! Got a Britax Marathon for $69 (pattern is Hannah, so it's girly) and my mother in law got a Snugride for $22.48!! They also had the True Fit but none in stock--that had been marked down to $47, so an amazing deal to whoever scored that one!

We also picked up a Graco 4 in 1 convertible crib (norm. $160) for $39.99, a Graco High chair for $22.48, an Eddie Bauer wood high chair (norm. $129.99) for $32.50...tons of great deals!!

Sorry, I meant to post that--it was the Manalapan, NJ store. We also tried the Howell store last week but barely anything was on clearance...who knows if it is this week!

If you want to price check a large item, just pull out the shelf label (or the page in the little carseat binder) and bring that to the price scanner. Or write down the number and enter it in. That's why there's a number keypad on the price checker. :tongue5:

Dang! Some of you guys have much better Target's than the DFW area! I found a Nautilus for a friend for $144, but MA's were still $239.

I can't believe you guys are getting Marathons that cheap. I am so jealous. I went all the way across town yesterday and found one Hannah but only marked down to 2xx something, the first markdown mark.

Only a couple of the no-back boosters marked down in Jacksonville, FL. The toys are only at 30% as well. It seems our Targets rarely get to 75%.

Hannah Marathons are at $195.xx at the Target I swung by this morning (Clark, NJ). They had two. Lots of other car seats on sale (Evenflos, Gracos), but at most, they are 30% off also. Same deal with toys -- plenty of stuff stickered clearance, but at either 15 or 30% off. I'm holding out for 50!

I finally found a store that had Marathons on clearance. It wasn't a great deal... $234 I think... and I didn't get one, but I was excited to find one on clearance after the first two stores I checked were full price.

I found a Marathon for $195 with a manufacture date of December 2008. DD will probably be out of her Snugride in about 3-4 months. Should I pull the trigger? Are EvenFlo Triumph's any good? The Target I went to had one for $107.

Evenflo triumph is a pretty good seat but I don't think the price of $107 is spectacular.

My Target had two MAs at $195.99, but the DOMs were in 2008. One was June 2008 and one was November 2008. NO THANKS!

There was also a True Fit or two and a few Evenflo Chase.

Typically Albee seats (even clearanced ones) are very recent DOM's. I've heard they put the covers on as the seats sell, so an old cover will still have a new seat.

Yes, people have been getting really recent seats with the Ashley Floral cover from Albee. Put in your comments that you would like the most recent DOM possible.

I bought an Ashley MA from albee baby for $179 in January. It has a DOM of Jan 2009. I first emailed them inquiring of the DOM and was told it would be 2009. They shipped me the seat and it had a DOM of Nov. 2008, so because I'm a pain in the butt I emailed them back telling them about the email guaranteeing a DOM of 2009 and they took back the seat and sent me a new one (they paid for the shipping both ways). Needless to say I will definitely be getting all our car seats from them in the future, they are great!

Email them first about the DOM so you have the guarantee.

i ordered the ashley from albee in early april, the DOM on mine was 3/31/09. i'm actually contemplating ordering a 2nd one and finding a not so girlie print cover separately for my son

With three kids, we tend to use our seats until they expire. That gives us seven months earlier that I'd have to replace the seat.
