How to clean sap off hardwoods?

I need some suggestions on how to clean sap (pitch) off our hardwoods- I usually clean our floors with vinegar and hot water- any suggestions for help in getting the tree sap (from Douglas Firs) off more easily?

Goo-gone! It's great for anything sticky, and seems to be quite gentle. I haven't had to use it on our floors (yet!), but I have used it to take crayon marks on our kitchen table. I've gotten mine at our local grocery store...HTH!

Hand sanitizer will take sap out of clothes... but I would test it on an inconspicuous spot on hardwood. Works like a charm on clothes, though.
