It's sad her mom is in denial, but it's possible the sex was not consensual (sp?). And could be statutory rape, at least what we consider it to be in the US. So it may *be* someone else's "fault".

I'm going to take the mother never had a sex talk with her daughter. It's actually sad that a 13 year old is now going to have a baby. I hope they don't think amniotic fluid is really pool water.

All I could think of was those stories we would tell each other when we were 13ish... before we saw "the movie" at school...
"You could get pregnant from a toilet seat" or "You could get pregnant if you swallowed it." Or if you borrowed a boy's underpants....

I don't understand what you mean. I don't think (and did not say) the possibility that she was raped makes it "better". It makes it sadder. Sorry, I just can't have a sense of humor about babies having babies, no matter how it happened.
