The kids Fiskars scissors are on sale this week at Walgreen's
for only 79 cents. Available in pointed or blunt.

That's a really great deal. :)

Staples has two packs of blunt or pointed scissors for $1 this week and CVS is doing free scissors after extra bucks (only through Tuesday the 14th!). Neither are Fiscars but still a good deal, especially if you are looking for school supplies to donate.

There are definitely better deals on the knock-off brands of kids scissors.

But, I prefer the kids Fiskars scissors since they actually cut. And they
cut nicely. And they stay nice for a long time. :)

I'm on Fiskars restriction. :( Self imposed, but still. ITA that they are worth every penny even full price. I taught school and having scissors that actually CUT is heaven. I always bought a pair for each student. How can you teach a kid to cut with crummy scissors. Made me nuts. Anyway, when DH had a job change I'd already bought the next year's worth of Fiskars, so we have a pair in just about every room. And several in the packaging in the basement. :bag

BTW the Fiskars warranty is excellent. I have a pair of the spring loaded adult ones and the spring broke. With fingers crossed I mailed them back to the company and they returned them sharpened, tightened up, and with an extra spring just in case.

I :heartbeat: Fiskars!

Was there a coupon for this deal? I was in Walgreens and saw them for $1.99 :(

No, there was no coupon.

You can see it advertised on page 7 of the weekly Walgreen's circular.

Yep. DS1's list requires Fiskars, so this was great!

They also have Expo markers (another specified brand...) for $1.99 with coupon. (Better then the B2G1 deals at Office Max/Depot this week.)

Corie: I'm with you on getting scissors that actually work and are comfy. Thanks for the post.

FYI, I just opened up my CVS one, I got one to use for coupon clipping. They cut pretty well and for free they are worth it. ;) They do have a rubberized handle.

I went by my Walgreens and the scissors didn't have the "cap" like shown in the advertisement. How useful is the cap?

I just bought one pair and after reading the school supply thread I think I should get a few pairs to stock up for the next few years!
