Facebook Users: Question

I don't really know how to use facebook.

When you do the search for the person, how do you delete the other contacts on your list? I noticed some people did that but I couldn't figure it out. When someone searches for me, I'd rather they not look at my list of friends, for some semblance of privacy.

Log in to your Facebook account
Choose Settings (upper right hand corner)
Click on Manage next to Privacy
Click on Search

You can clear/mark the check boxes so that you control what information people see about you when they do a search for your name.

Click on Save changes.
