My mom is going to make me some wrap (we have an Ergo, but it wasn't great for a newborn, so I want a less structured wrap for around the house and for the first few months).

Is there a particular one that's better for mamas who've had a c-section? A nurse recommended a wraparound carrier to my mom as just a great carrier, but I'd also love your feedback.

I had c-sections as well, and wraps are great, because they don't push on your scar. The waist band on the ergo will hurt until you heal.

DIY moby's are very simple to make. All you need is 5 yards of knit fabic (100% cotton, no Lycra, like a heavy t-shirt), and cut it down the middle length ways. You do not need to sew it since it knit does not frey.

Another option is Osnaburg fabric. This fabric is cooler for summer, but it does need to be hemmed (loose threads can easily tangle around small fingers and toes, so the fringe look is not a good idea for babies).
