View Full Version : We survived our Girl Scout camp!

My daughter and I went to Girl Scout camp. It was called 'Me & My Gal'.
It is designed for Girl Scouts and their moms, aunts, grandmas, etc.

We had a great time except for the 90 degree weather, 100% humidity, huge
mosquitoes, and sleeping on a cot in a tent. :) Oh, and I forgot, we were not
allowed to use/drink the water. (With all the rain that we've had here recently,
there was too much bacteria in the water.)
I don't think I've ever been so dirty & smelly in all my life.

I am now showered and teeth are brushed so all is good. :)


P.S. My good friend said NO way in hell is she going back again
next year! Looks like we need to find new bunkmates!!

My dd had a great time at Girl Scout camp too! She wants me to go to the Me and My Gal Session next year with her. Besides all the challenges, did you have a good time?

We had a great time!!

We did Arts & Crafts. We got to fabric paint some totebags.

We went swimming in the lake. And then we went canoeing.

Later, after dinner, we had a big campfire, sang songs, and made
smores.

This morning after breakfast, we had a little ceremony and the girls
got a cool patch for their sash.

I'm so glad you gals had a good time. The no running water must have been awful!!!

Aw, I want to go too! That sounds like so much fun (well, not the no water part!).

Sorry the weather wasn't better for you! Sarah really lucked out her week. It was in the upper 70/low 80s, no rain and the bugs are really not out yet here this year. It was like a miraculous week for her!!

Maybe next year. ;)

Corie, you have such a great attitude! I'm glad you had fun. As a camper I can say that showering after a weekend of no running water is so heavenly!
