View Full Version : Prayers/ BB mojo needed

DH is taking the bar exam tomorrow. We really need prayers/good thoughts sent our way. DH is wonderful and has moved across the country so that I can care for my mom. She is less than thankful and her nasty, untrained dogs are driving us nuts. All of the chaos, plus selling our house, plus trying to pay bills/student loans has made it hard for DH to study much. All of this is combined with us moving to LA, the only state that uses a completely different law system. So DH has been trying to learn the laws here while just studying in general. So please pray that he does well. I'm afraid that if he doesn't we will never pay off everything! TIA

I also live in a civil law region. It makes things interesting at times. As a historian who specializes in legal history, I can talk lots about the Coutume de Paris and the historical civil code, but I don't know a ton about the present day situation. Lots of P&PT headed your way, and here's hoping your DH nails his exam :)

Sending prayers and positive thoughts you way and hoping your dedication to your mom will be rewarded. I recall how different the laws were in a civil law jurisdiction. FWIW, I was working FT and planning a wedding while studying for the bar exam and know how stressful it can be. In some ways, I think it helped that I had other "distractions" while studying. So many of my classmates were totally consumed with studying and could not see the forest for the trees. Best of luck to your DH!
