DD's baptism and birthday are coming up. I got the idea here to do a charm bracelet for her and add to it for special occassions. I'd like to do a silver bracelet (that can always be bought in the future) and maybe a cross for the baptism and a heart or initial for her first birthday. Does anyone know a good place to buy bracelet charms either IRL or online or ETsy? I called Kohl's and they said they didn't have much in the way of charms. With DS potty training, I really can't run all over the place and have to keep our trips short. Blue Nile.com seems to have some nice ones, but not sure if they're the best price. Also, I assume I'll have to get something with a clasp that can open. When I google for charms, things come up that are not really attachable to a bracelet, KWIM?

ETA: here's one from blue nile I was looking at. Does the price seem high?

I really like James Avery jewelery. It's kind of pricey but very well made. I've got my charm bracelet that I had as a kid that I'm going to give to DD1 when she's a little older. I thought I could take off some of my old charms and get some new ones for her.

Good quality silver charms for GOOD prices. I go to their store at Rehobath, DE, but know you can order on-line. http://www.silver-works.com/

James Avery is my recommendation too. Love their stuff!

Mervyn's used to carry them, when I worked there several years ago. If you are in an area that still has one, try there. But of course, I also was gonna say James Avery.

Thank you! We don't have a Mervyn's. I don't know of a local James Avery, but will check them out online, as well as Silverworks.

This is where I went to start DD's bracelet.....they were awesome to work with IRL and I'm sure would be tons of help onine as well......the lady looked through three different charms books with me to find a cute ss lady bug for DD's bracelet and was very patient as I went back and forth on different sizes and styles for the other charms...
Their prices seem good too.

I like James Avery charms, but have received a few from Hand & Hammer (http://www.handandhammer.com/Pages/Charms.html) as well. They are very well made and quite solid.
