Personally I wouldn't hype it up all that much b/c that could just succeed in making her a tad nervous.

But, that said, I like the book "The Berenstain Bears Go to School".

We liked:

D.W.'s Guide to Preschool (D.W. is Arthur's little sister.)

And in case she does get nervous:
The Kissing Hand
I Love You All Day Long
Don't Go!

I just bought two books for my daughter who's starting preschool in Sept. She LOVES them and wants to read them and look at the pictures every day. She points to herself and says "I go preschool". She is so excited! Definitely get a book, it really helps!

Maisy Goes to Preschool (this one is her favorite)

Love these recommendations! I agree about not hyping it too much, but doing some prep work. DS started an eye-blinking tic right before starting his MDO program last week (was short lived), but I know he was prob nervous.

ETA: I have to get "The kissing hand", it sounds sooo sweet, even for minor separations.
