T's latest response to someone telling him pink is for girls?

"Don't be ridiculous" with a look of total exasperation/amusement, looking the stranger at the park right in the eye and then turning around to go back to playing.

He cracks me up.

Update with glasses picture. Just cause I don't want to start a new colorful T thread in the same day, LOL.

He picked a very reddish pink (he thinks it pink, I think it is red) for one pair and a blue pair which is dark navy blue in front with different lighter shades of blue stripes on the sides for the second pair. Here he is in the red pair.

My 8yo has a pink polo shirt that he chose and likes to wear. He wore it to school one day (2nd grade) and said that he was teased all day by different boys...and girls.

He won't wear it to school now, :( but he wears it at home and wore it this past weekend to MIL's house for a birthday celebration. All three of my BIL's complimented P on his pink shirt and relayed to him that they also have some pink shirts. We did not tell them to do this, they were being honest and respected his individuality and style. I have very cool BILs and I'm so glad my boys are being raised in an extended family that is so cool.

Way to go, T!!

Way to go, T! I just bought a Madison print Britax for DD2 and it reminded me of him.

He is a wonderful person. If only I could be so self-possessed at my age of [cough, cough].

Double high-five, elbow, elbow, bump, bump to him.

He sounds like a really cool kid. I love the first pic - such a confident, impish look in his eyes. Yay Toby! :bighand:

I think the glasses look cool, and not girly at all! Seriously, he is very cute!

Love the glasses. And his confidence!

My friend's dad is an elementary school principal who wears pink - because he looks good in it and because he dislikes the whole 'pink is for girls' thing.

I love pictures of kids in glasses!
(But I'm biased since DS has worm his since the age of 2.)

 I love them! As someone who wore glasses starting in kindergarten, I'm so glad to see that they have such cool glasses for kids nowadays. Mine were, ummm, not cool!

The glasses look red to me, but good to T for standing up to the girl :)

Awesome! My DS is in LOVE with purple. He starts kindergarten this year, so he picked out a purple backpack, a dark purple, but he would have been happy with the lighter purple too. My DS is also due to have his eyes checked again, so I'll be interested to see what glasses he picks out...I'm not sure if they have purple.

My other DS is way into orange. He must get it from me, since bright orange was always my fav as a kid (and I still love orange, but wear it in more muted tones).
