So I saw that Costco's toy section (in anticipation of the holidays) is already in. I'm sure a lot more toys will be rolling in over the next few months. I'm sure there will be a highly anticipated Kidkraft kitchen and train table of some sort shortly. I can't remember them all, but I saw the following:

Color Me House cardboard house - $19.99

Mr. Potato Head Family Set (I think this included two heads)

a motorized construction set of some sort

a variety of craft sets - one of them being a "make your own kaleidoscope," a clay set and something else

Step 2 Art Tower table and chairs set

Webkinz sets

I also saw Kidcraft easel with storage bins and Kidcraft storage bin organizer (like the one at Target).

I bought really cute puppets for DD. They also had a cute crayola keyboard and mouse set. Never seen that before.

The Potato Family Set I saw had 4 potatoes in it -- mom, dad, little brother and little sister.

The Kidkraft easel with bin storage is $84.99 (shipping and handling included) at Costco.com, so my guess is that the in-store one will be a little cheaper. It should definitely be less than $84.99 since shipping isn't a factor.

Went to Costco today and saw:

Playmobil sets for $37.99

Mrs. Goodbee Interactive Dollhouse Set for around $65 (under $70, for sure)

Build-a-Bear party sets for $21.99. There are boy (gender neutral looking) and girl (princess theme) sets. Each set includes 4 Build-a-Bear animals (smaller than what you find at the store), 4 party invitations (to send out), pins, stickers, and an outfit for each.

And a Tag Jr set! (For $39 I believe, with an extra book and the case)

Good to know! Thanks :) We'll be heading to costco in the next day or two so I'll have to check it out. The kids are already getting a PM farm set I have stashed away, but i know DS would enjoy the pirates.

I'm not positive about the farm set or whether it was a farm set, barn type set, or just a home with animals type set. Heh, heh. Obviously I wasn't very attentive! But for sure there was a pirate theme one. That much, I could recognize!

Any info on which Playmobil? I need to head to Costco this week I think. DH and I need to figure out how to do it without kids though.

The pirate one was a ship. I think it was like a Corsair. I actually bought the Farm theme one, but I don't remember exactly which one it was, and it's still hiding in DH's trunk. I can check when he gets home.

ETA:
OK, the farm one is model 5877, which I can't find online anywhere, but looks a lot like the Pony Farm #4190. It's not identical though.

Yeah, it is a pony farm. Anyone know what the Pirate ship number is or what it is close to? I looked at both last night briefly but was trying to do so on the sly as DH was pushing the kids elsewhere in the store :ROTFLMAO: I was on the phone w/ my mom at the time so not fully paying attention, but she told me to pick up the sets for the kids (when they aren't along) and they'll gift them to the kids for Christmas.

We have a big farm set put aside in the attic for both kids for Christmas. DD loooooooves horses, and this would actually be a great addition for us. (she has the horse trailer and horse already too LOL). Can't remember what exactly it had with it though...I saw a similar (maybe smaller) set for around 27.xx that looked a bit like it but I'm not sure it was the same. I wish I could remember what all came with it so I can compare.

I'm sure DS would like the pirates. DIdn't get to see what all came w/ that set either.

If we pick them up in the near future I'll take a pic of the back of the box and post it or something.

eta: did the horse/pony set come w/ a barn? I can't remember. I remember fencing but can't remember if there was a building with it. The non-Costco set I saw for 27.xx had some similar components (fence, etc.) but definitely didn't have a building. If this one comes w/ a building that's probably a really good deal I'm thinking?

On Saturday when I was there, my Costco also had the Step2 Lifestyle Dream Kitchen (normally retails around $150, I think) for $115. There were lots of goodies at mine, but I was limited in what I could pick up because I had DD with me.

I'm thinking it's a fantastic deal! I've been wanting to get DD some sort of farm forever but never found one under $50!

Thanks so much for posting that...it helps a lot!! I think DD would enjoy this and will go along w/ our other (general, non-horse themed) farm set. Even better if my parents are buying it for them :) I really appreciate it.

Doll set - think it has doll, basinet & highchair

DD (almost 2 at Christmas) is getting this set from her grandparents (my ILs--at my request). I just wish the box said what size the doll is. I'm assuming 14".

Target has some 18" dolls. I think that's kind of funny because that's how long DD was when she was born. DS was even smaller, at 17 34".

My Costco had a big wooden train for $14.99 - looking at the box, it is a Costco exclusive. No brand, just says imported for Costco Wholesale. It is MIC though...but seriously, a really good deal!
