We are planning to get a handheld video monitor (with or without a regular monitor).

Any feedback (preferences, pros/cons, etc.) for the following Summer Infant video products?
Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor (http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/322/Best-View-Handheld-Color-Video-Monitor.html)
Day & Night™ Handheld Color Video Monitor (http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/16/Day---Night--Handheld-Color-Video-Monitor.html)
Complete Coverage Color Video Monitor Set (http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/323/Complete-Coverage-Color-Video-Monitor-Set.html)

Any other video monitors you would recommend over the Summer Infant monitors?

Thanks!

I don't have any feedback to leave, but I'm also looking for a video monitor to buy. I was all set to get this monitor that you were thinking of http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/322/Best-View-Handheld-Color-Video-Monitor.html but all the reviews on the Summer monitors have me worried. We have a wi fi here and I'm afaird we are going to have major interference. I just saw this monitor http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3326907 but I need to read up on it's reviews too. Let me know what monitor you end up getting!!! I'm curious to see what other people can recommend.

we worried about this too. i asked when we bought and they told me that as long as we kept the packaging and the receipt we could return. i would ask the manager first, but buy it. you will not be disappointed if it does work. also i recommend the protection plan. i think it was another $20. i have had to replace mine once and a dear friend has too. i would still buy again regardless of the issues, as we are pretty hard on things.. .hth

I wanted to add that we have 3 dc so we use both the Day & Night handheld video monitor with 2 cameras AND the best view video monitor with one camera. All at the same time. And absolutely no interference between the monitors or with our wifi or our wireless telephones. I did have a problem with the volume control on the day & night (it only worked when very loud) but I called Summer's CS and they shipped me a replacement right away and it didn't cost me anything. I found their CS very responsive. We have been using the Day & Night monitor for 4 years without a problem and the Best view for a few months (it came out recently). IMO, the Best View is the better of the two video monitors (its camera can pan the room & zoom in on sleeping baby), but both have excellent reception and great audio and video clarity. I have read all the negative reviews, but we have had good luck with the Summer products.

We had the second one for 2 years, have wifi and cordless phones, and had no problems whatsoever with interference with those appliances. The only problems we ever had with it was that our across-the-street neighbors had the same monitor and if we switched to the other channel, we'd get an image and sound of their kid! It was a great monitor; we stopped using it gradually and just sold it to another family.

I have the Summer Infant Best View monitor. I love it. No interference with wireless or our cell phones. We dont have a house phone.
