I know I have read on some online forum, not sure if it was here, that some manufacturers don't recommend using the hutch with a dresser being used as a changer. We are awaiting our combo unit and hutch from Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. No one at the store or factory store mentioned anything about not using the hutch when you are using the dresser as a combo. And it is pictured/displayed that way.

We don't have an ideal location to store the hutch until we stop using the dresser as a changer. And this is the only display area/shelving we are going to have in the entire nursery. What are the hazards behind using the hutch?

The shelf is movable and we can mount them up high out of the reach of the baby.
