HELP please- How do I remove magic marker stain?

DD got a Barbie art set for her birthday that came with some markers that I *assumed* would be washable so I foolishly let her use them while wearing her favorite gymbo mermaid dress. Needless to say, she got a huge line of marker on the dress. I've washed it twice using oxy stain remover, regular oxy, and the new Tide stain release. Nothing has worked. Does anyone have any suggestions? DD is really sad that her favorite dress might be ruined. TIA!

Usually anything that contains alcohol can get it out. Hairspray and rubbing alcohol are 2 off the top of my head. Looking online I see that people have tried Mr. Clean multi surface cleaner and Spot Shot.

My first thought was to spray hair spray on it as well. I'm thinking that is what is recommended for getting ink out of clothing.

Try hand sanitizer. Just squeeze a generous amount on the stain, let it sit for a minute or two and then wash with your regular detergent. It has taken out marker, paint, and even some food dyes. Works great.
