DS has tubes in his ears and has a runny nose currently. I am expecting his ears to start draining because he usually gets a runny nose right before the ear infection. He always has a waxy build up. I know this may sound like a really dumb question but what does the drainage look like? Is it more of a liquid or is it waxy. Thanks Mamas!!!!

When DS gets an infection in the ear where the tube is still in place, the drainage is green and simialar in consistency to nose drainage. It takes 2-3 days to stop once we start the ear drop antibiotics.

DDs is sort of a brownish red...almost orangish sometimes.

With DS1, it was always orange.
