So assuming the paperwork goes through OK, I should get my VW Jetta wagon. (Dealer submitted the papers at around 7 last night LOL!!)

The one thing I am regretting giving up in the van is the built-in DVD player.

DH is trying to talk me into an after market system with screens built into the vehicle headrest:

I know the ones you just strap to the seat are much cheaper, but I'm a little leery of their safety.

Thoughts?

Whatever system you decide to get do NOT buy the brand Myron & Davis. I spent $800 on my car dvd player about 2 years ago and it is awful. It worked fine for about 6 months and then it would only play some dvds. Now it doesn't work at all. Everytime I put in a disc it says "disc error" even on brand new discs. The manufacturer won't do anything. So now I'm out $800 and have a DVD player that doesn't work. My mom has after market players in her headrests and they work great. 3 years no problems, not sure if the brand though. The nice thing is that you can watch different dvds on each headrest or you can watch the same if you chose. This is great with 2 kids.
