OK I have given up on any hope for fixing my mess of a belly with exercise. Actually, even with exercise the only way to fix my pouch of twinskin is with surgery. No thanks. I'd like my c-section to have been my last major abdominal surgery.

What's the best tummy control undergarment for the price? Spanx? Breakoutbras has one for 29.99...can anyone vouch for these? I like the price (and they have an additional 10% off coupon code).

It needs to have enough control for my tummy bulge and overstretched skin (of which there is enough of that I have to tuck it in my pants. Gross.) The rest of me looks fine. Great, even. I can fit into size 2 clothing. Carrying twins around has done a nice job of toning up my legs and my arms, and my boobs are ridiculously large from breastfeeding, to my husband's delight. I would love love love to stop looking like I'm 5 months pregnant at the end of the day. I don't care most days, but on the occasion that I do have to wear a dress, I'd like to be able to eat as much as I usually do and not end up looking like a python who has just made a kill.

I have some of the Assets pantyhose (made by the same company that does Spanx, but it's a private label for Target) and I really like them. They do a great job at smoothing things out and hiding belly bulge. My SIL has one of the tummy shapers from Spanx and swears by it.

I wonder if you could find someone who sells it local so you could at least try it on and see what you think of it? Then buy it online if that ends up being a better price?

I tried both the SPANX & Asset (from target) and have decent & comparable results. Of course they don't give you drastic results but better than before. Make sure you get one that goes all the way up your torso and not the underwear kind (they end up giving a muffin top).

SPANX is double the price of Asset but I think it is much more comfortable for daily use (I almost forgot I had it on). But at $20 you can't go wrong with the Asset either I think. I bought my SPANX from freshpair.com and they have free shipping. I have a 10% off $75 or more coupon (expires 9/1/09) - PM if you want to use it.

I was not very happy with the Control It Camisole by Maidenform (bought a pack of 2 from Costco). It gave decent tummy control but it flattened out my chest (and I am a small size to begin with :-)).

I also loved Spanx post-partum. Heck, I wore the footless pantyhose in my pre-preggo fat days. I ordered from QVC. Yes, you pay for shipping but Spanx aren't cheap and I wanted to be able to return them, no questions asked, if I found them to be too uncomfortable to wear regularly.
I have this set plus a Spanx Hide and Sleek camisole.
