What are your thoughts on this?

It was my understanding that only certain kinds of these stones emit radon levels that would cause concern. I have granite and looked them up and they were said to be safe. Therefore I am not too concerned but would look up any types before I buy any more in the future.

Granite is the major cause in homes, certain geographical areas have high levels of radon . I would personally get mine checked, if I had it. We want to upgrade our kitchen, and that is a major factor for us, I will have it checked before I put it in our home. Both of my parents died of Cancer, so I am pretty cautious!

We are currently buying a house and I did have the radon tested as part of the inspection. The kitchen level were hardly there as well as the basement, but it is something worth checking IMO.
