I want to try this game for my boys, but should I get Rush Hour or Rush Hour Jr? My big guys will be turning 6...

Start with the Jr.. I took Rush Hour Jr. into ds1's 1st grade class last year, 6 and 7yos, and some could do the game easily and others not so much. Even the ones who could do it pretty easily still had fun.

My 6 1/2 year old is getting very good at Rush Hour. I am a complete failure at it!

Hmm, are they the same game pieces, but just different set up cards? The Jr having easier cards?

The Jr. version has fewer cars so it's easier. My ds was playing both versions by age 6.

I would start with Rush Hour Jr. I gave DS1 Rush Hour Jr. several months before his 6 birthday. He had a little trouble at first but was quickly able to do many of the cards by himself (or with a little guidance) after I taught him some of the techniques. I think it's better to build their confidence than letting them feel frustrated with something harder/above their level.
