Does anyone have a travel high chair they love and would recommend? We’re in a very family oriented community, so it’s not unusual for there to be no high chairs available, and I’m tired of dealing with the infant carrier, or stroller, or having her on my lap, etc.

I saw the “My Little Seat Travel High Chair” on Target.com and am intrigued: http://www.target.com/Little-Seat-Travel-High-Chair/dp/B002AKRJ4I/ref=br_1_12/179-9951021-0573550?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&searchView=grid5&searchNodeID=352562011&node=352562011&searchRank=pmrank&searchPage=1&searchSize=30&id=Little%20Seat%20Travel%20High%20Chair.
It looks like it just goes over any chair. My only thought there is that she’s awfully short, I’m not sure she could even be at eye level with the table, but I wonder if a booster would help with that? Has anyone tried these?

I am also looking at some of the hook-on chairs. How do these do for somewhat still floppy 6 month olds? She’s used to having the full back support of her chair at home. And though she sits up well, I'm not sure she could go a whole meal without falling asleep and flopping back.

I’d love to hear what you’re using. Thanks!

Have you considered the IKEA Antilop? We use ours as a travel high chair - the legs pop off for easy portability, and you don't have to worry about having chairs available to strap on a travel high chair. Your baby does need to sit up well though. We started using ours at 6 months. If your baby is sitting up now it will only be a short period of time before she can sit up throughout the meal. Also, it sits right at table height - without the tray I can push ours right up to the table, and it's perfect. In fact, we just had a little picnic outside in the back yard with them this past weekend:)

We kept (keep) one of these in the car: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product&pid=27475&ncat=thumbnail&pcat=bgh

and whenever a high chair isn't available, we just run out to the car and grab it to use.

I know folk that use this as their only high chair as well, though I'm uncertain how appropriate it is for 6 months. We didn't get it until about 9 months.

DS1 still uses it as a booster and DS2 has used it since he was about 5 months old when we go out to eat.

We use this too - also keep it in the car. Have been using it from 6 months to now 21 months. We used this chair with our first DS too. Basically it has been in use for 4 years straight and still looks great.

We have an Eddie Bauer hook on chair and although it doesn't get glowing reviews everywhere....it has been really great for us. I think it would work for a wobbly baby as it has a stiff backrest.
