hi all,

i'm looking for books for my 22 month old that can help his verbal and vocab development. he's a bit behind in speech. i've lost all my 4yo's baby books except Priddy's "Happy Baby Colors" and "Happy Baby Words".

Any suggestions? I like "real-world" pictures like in Priddy books, but anything little ones like is fine. Thanks!

Anything by DK (lots of board books) or Priddy is a big hit in our house. Both of my kids adored the Priddy books from 18 months until maybe age 3? DD is 2.75 and loooooves to label every single animal, etc. in her various Priddy books.

eta: DD is very into I Love Animals and My Big Animal book right now (both Priddy)

300 First Words and Pictures looks good (we don't own this one)
http://www.amazon.com/300-First-Words-Pictures-Board/dp/0312498535/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1251995097&sr=1-11

My Little Word Book is good:

Search Amazon for DK board books as well. Lots of good ones.

We also have two other books I see on my shelf right now that are not DK or Priddy. Not sure if they are still available but they are called:
Babies: A very first picture book (consultant Nicola Tuxworth, published by Lorenz books)
Funny Faces: a very first picture book (consultant Nicola Tuxworth, published by Lorenz books)
