I'm planning to try to PT DS in a few months, but I'd like to get a potty soon just to get him used to it. What's your favorite? Do you recommend one with a splash guard? What other features should I look for?

Baby Bjorn.
A splash guard is a necessity IMHO.

Baby Bjorns all around - little potty (one piece), regular potty (two pieces -easy to clean) and the toilet ring. The splash guard on all of them is contoured well so they don't hurt themselves, nice and smooth, easy to clean. We start early teaching them to 'point down' to avoid messes.

My son loves his Peter Potty. He can use it independently without making a HUGE mess like other potties!

I just ordered the Baby Bjorn potty (the bigger one) for $22 on Amazon. I hope DS likes it.

We also really like the Fisher Price Froggy Friends potty, it's only $12 at Target.
