For those of you who liked Obama's speech yesterday

This essay is about a speech he gave 11 years ago, when he was at the state senate. It's written by Paul Karofial, who is a HS classmate of my sis Eileen (mudder17 here!). I remember PJ (as he was called back then) as a math genius. I think it's so cool he is now a teacher.

I love the fact that he can personally relate to children that are struggling. They can directly see that a change can produce dramatic results.

awesome, thank you for posting, Melinda. I'm reminded of when Montel Williams visited my high school, before he had his own show(I'm not saying how old I am, LOL), and how inspiring his words were.
