Anyone know of a good place to get a good deal on a bagalini purse? I am in need of a good cross body purse and I'm thinking about the bagalini - unless anyone has a different suggestion for me. I don't want a huge purse, but also don't want a tiny wallet sized one.

Vera Bradley hipster? TJ Maxx or Marshall's often has them cheap, or the VB website has a clearance section.

I spent much of last year with this purse: http://usa.roots.com/Women+sVillageBaginRustlerLeather/OriginalFlatBags//18019491,default,pd.html?cgid=leather&navid=xsellTop&selectedColor=4401

It was so comfy and carried everything I needed!

I went back to work this year and had to get a proper purse for my lunch and everything else I carry, but I much prefer the cross-body style.

ETA - there are a bunch to choose from (colour and style) http://usa.roots.com/leather_flat_handbags/leatherFlatBags,default,sc.html

I've just REDISCOVERED Lesportsac and bought their Madison bag to use as a cross-body bad. I can't tell you how much i LOVE it. Especially because it weighs almost nothing. It's big enough to carry 2 diapers and wipes with a disposable changing pad, emergency treats, sippy cups - - and ALL my stuff - -yet it's pretty small. i would definatley check their other styles out since most of their straps are adjustable. I was lucky enough to find one on clearance, but ebags does have them on sale once in awhile.

The Roots ones are really nice. VERY popular here. I have this one: http://usa.roots.com/SideSaddleBagInPrinceLeather/rootsOriginalFlatBagsLeatherBags//18019573,default,pd.html?cgid=leatherFlatBags&selectedColor=0100

I also have these from a Canadian company (similar to REI) that ships to the US: http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 3379&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302699955&bmUID=1253036890015

ETA: I also have this Lug one: http://www.lugtravel.com/product/SKIPPER/SKIPPER__Skipper_Shoulder_Pouch.html

And a Coach one, but I can't find it on their website.

I am finding that I like cross-body bags as well, much easier to handle when I have my hands full with two kids!

I have a Vera Bradley Cargo Sling that I wear cross-body. It holds my wallet and phone, along with dipes/wipes, snacks, and sippies for the kids. Love the amount of pockets and how lightweight it is. These are discontinued but you can find them for good prices on Ebay.

I also have a Lug Moped when I want something smaller. There is a seller on Bonanzle.com that sells Lug products for a good price. I haven't bought from them, but I know some mamas on the babybags yahoo group have and they were pleased:

I also just won an auction on Ebay for this Sak Silverlake leather cross-body bag, I like how it converts to a clutch as well:

And thanks a lot to the recs above for the roots bags, now something else I want! I have a bit of a bag fetish these days.....

I've been carrying the vera bradley hipster for a couple years and I also own a green leather Fossil crossbody to. They are both nice but I like the vera bradley a little better b/c it's lighter then the leather kind plus they are easier to clean then leather.

I really like the Roots crossbody purses. May need to put one on my Christmas wish list.

I have one from Fossil (I think it is called the Sutter top zip?) that looks just like the one from Roots that Piglet posted. I got it from Dillards for under $100.

Looks similar to one of the Roots mentioned above but this one is on sale for only $60!

I have seen Baggalini purses at the Eddie Bauer Outlet with the Eddie Bauer name on it. Specifically the City bag. Not sure what the deal is now but I picked one up for 1/2 price there a while back. Not as many color options as the actual Baggalini's though. Unfortunately I had to return it because I packed it to tight and it got too wide at the bottom for my tastes.

I just got the Kipling Lancelot purse thorugh eBags for our December trip to WDW. I think this will be perfect -- it fits my big Nikon SLR camera as well as a water bottle in the main compartment and could easily be used for everyday outings.

Another option are the Sherpani's. My sister loves these and they come in a lot of fun colors. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.

I've loved (so much I've had 3 of them in 10 years) the moot hipster (http://wabags.com/products/bags/details.asp?id=72) from Wabags. I've never had a bag that got more complements. I also love their coinies (little change purses).

Just to let you know, I picked up a cute brown leather cross body purse at TJ Maxx today for $15. I'm not even sure what brand it is (I'd never heard of it) but it's small enought that I don't feel like I'm carrying a diaper bag again, but is big enough to hold a diaper and all my stuff if I need it to.

Thanks for all your ideas!
