A little girl on DS's soccer team has a little brother a few months older than my DD (almost 20 months, so he's nearly 2). After the game on Saturday, I saw them leaving the parking lot, and I am almost positive the little boy was sitting rear facing. So that is at least two families I know IRL who have their under-2s but over-1s rear facing.
