I am expecting a new baby in March and since we live here in Germany, we drive a Toyota Yaris with ISOFIX. My older DD's Nautilus is installed solidly with ISOFIX and top tether. I think I read somewhere that when you use ISOFIX with a car seat's LATCH connecters, you must use the top tether. It's not an issue for the Nautilus, because of course it's top tethered. But I'm thinking about the Snugride that I have at home and plan to use with the new baby. I know there's no way to top tether an infant seat. Is it possible to use a US, LATCH equipped seat with ISOFIX properly? Did I imagine that about the top tether? I hope so!

They mean forward facing. Top tethers are not needed for any rearfacing seat (optional for some, yes, but not necessary for any).

Oh, hooray! So I'll be all set with my Snugride and then my beloved Roundabout. I think we will not be living here by the time this kiddo finally forward faces.
