I'm writing to my local news about the lousy job they did reporting on carseat safety this morning. I cannot find the link to the AAP guidelines for RF to at least age 2. Anyone have them?

The AAP actually changed the recommendation but here are a couple of references

http://aapnews.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/30/4/12-a

In the above article

Toddlers should remain rear-facing in a convertible car seat until they have reached the maximum height and weight recommended for the model, or at least the age of 2.

The wording is now-

Always use a car safety seat for infants and young children. A rear-facing car safety seat should be used until your child has reached the highest weight and/or height allowed by his car safety seat, but at a minimum until your child is at least one year of age AND weighs at least 20 pounds. It is best to ride rear-facing as long as possible. Once your child has outgrown the rear-facing height or weight limit, he can ride in a forward-facing car safety seat.

This is perfect thanks. Considering they said on the news that you MUST turn your child FF at 1 yr and 20 lbs this is definitely different information.
