It seems like most of the work-at-home businesses are scams, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any legit ones? Or if you could recommend some companies that may be well known for allowing people to work mostly from home? I really need to bring in some income, but I would like to stay home with DD since we don't have family to watch her.

My DH is currently doing this job.

I did a similar job for them which is no longer available through this employer. They are temp. positions but pay very well and are perfect for a SAHM. You can log on 24/7 and work as you have time.

This is one of the companies that now hire for the job I did. It's a independent contractor position.

This company also hires similar positions.

I can't say too much about the positions as I was required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement but basically you are evaluating search engines. I found the work very interesting and wished my contract wasn't up! I'm hoping to get back on with one of these companies. Each company pays a bit different but the pay is over $10/hour for all of them as far as I know. They are all legit and perfect for a SAHM.

Good luck.

www.wahm.com It has lots of opportunities. There is a folder "Google Rater" which discusses the jobs above.

I also was a Cha Cha guide for a bit. It was interesting and entertaining but didn't pay well for me, it wasn't worth the time.

I work in Corporate America, and we have a huge work from home program. It's completely legit and works quite well. I can't imagine going back.

I was going to post about google. I saw it last week and need to apply. I did read on one site that it's random when they take people on...so send in a resume....then send another in a couple of weeks...repeat....I think it sounds good for people like us here on BBB.

:yeahthat:

I have two friends who work for University of Phoenix who work from home too. I think that company is really open to flex-working since it's basically an online university.

Yes, I recommend sending your resume in multiple times. I think I was hired after about the 4th time I sent it.

I corrected my post. I had posted 2 of the same links. There are 3 companies that hire for this type of work. The link is corrected in my original post.

how many hours do the google jobs require?

The information is in most of the job postings. I can only speak from my experience with my employer. I was required to work a minimum of 10 hours a week and a max of 30. Work was usually available but occasionally was not. Then of course, 10 hours was not required.
