Can you please post your favorite comfortable work shoes. I have a wide foot and would like something that is a comfortable dress shoe for winter.

TIA!

I wear a lot of Danskos and like them. Some do have a clog like feel/appearance, but they have some trendier and dressier styles too. They are pricey, but last a long time!

I second Danskos. I know they are the classic "mom" shoe, but if you dress stylish enough, they don't look as frumpy. The patent leather ones are fun.

Dansko has some really cool options nowadays, and some of them run wide.. Too bad my big old foot doesn't fit into 99% of them :crying:

I :love5: my Dansko professionals and Lolitas!

I just got these at Ross for 29.99 a few weeks ago. http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?prodId=162272&cm_mmc=prodlist-_-becomepl-_-main-_-main

They are SOOO comfortable.

I would have bought them in this color had I seen them!

My Merrells are the most comfortable winter shoes I own (next to my Jumbo Uggs http://jumbougg.com/).

Just adding that about the Danskos, IMO you should buy from a local store and not online. I am a huge online shopper, but I've found there to be some discrepancy in sizing. For example, I wear size 39 and have found that some 39s are too big, some too small, and some just right. I've been told by several retailers that these are hand crafted and that is the reason.

I work in women's clothing retail, so shoes that are both comfortable and fashionable are a must for me. These are several brands that I like.

I would recommend the Sofft brand. http://www.zappos.com/womens-sofft

I've found them IRL at The Walking Shoe Company, and also at Dillards. You'll have a better selection of wide styles online. I love Sofft because they are extremely comfortable, and I personally think that most of their styles are adorable!

I wear a lot of Clarks -- particularly the Artisan ones. I've found the Clarks Artisan shoes to be a good blend of comfort and fashion.

I do like Danskos as well -- and I would definitely agree with KatieG that there is some sizing discrepancy. Some of that is because Sanita is no longer the manufacturer for Dansko -- Dansko has shifted production over to factories in China.

There was a thread in the BP in the past few weeks about wide feet/shoes -- perhaps if you bump that up, some of the posters on that thread will have specific brand recommendations. I believe Ros Hommerson was one of the brands mentioned, but I do not have personal experience with that brand.

I hope you get some good ideas! Shoes are a misson for me because I have somewhat problematic feet, but I hate paying retail -- not necessarily a good combination!

I have really, really wide feet. To the point where I think the box would fit better than most shoes. I've got a few Easy Spirit pairs that are wide enough for me. I've tried Clark, Born, Ecco and a few others. None of them have been wide enough though. And some of those brands don't even come in wide.

I've found that going to a place like DSW can help. They have a huge variety of shoes and some come in wides. Also, Famous Footwear seems to stock a lot of wide shoes.
