Dd1 used to say when she was teeny....'what you said, mama?' So cute.

OK...here is a funny. I have been pronouncing a couple of these wrong all along. Take a look see---
The Official Much-Needed Children's Brand Pronunciation Guide

Team Cool Mom Picks spent last week walking around the huge ABC Kids trade show in Las Vegas, finding incredible new products to share with you - and realizing that yeah, we pretty much have been mispronouncing every juvenile products brand name known to man.

Since we figure we can't be entirely alone here (or so we hope!) we thought we'd offer up a pronunciation guide on some of our favorite, and often mispronounced brand names. Print it out, keep it in your diaper bag, and feel like a smartypants the next time you're able to say, "Um, actually? It's a Meh-DEE-lah pump.

aden + anais (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2009/06/swaddling_blankets_for_summer.php) - AY-den and uh-NAY
Please don't say AHden. And please please don't say Anus.

Babesta (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2009/09/toddler_bedding_olli_and_lime.php) - BABE-stuh
Like gangstah. Get it?
Beaba Babycook (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2008/11/beaba_babycook.php) - BAY-buh
Boy, we had this one way wrong in our heads.

Medela (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2009/04/medela_giveaway.php) - meh-DEE-luh
Rhymes with tequila. Now you'll never forget it.

Mutsy (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2008/03/mutsy_easy_grow_high_chair.php) - MOOT-see
We thought it was Mutt-See, but that's better than those who call it "Musty."

Oeuf (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2009/07/the_budget-friendly_oeuf_colle.php) - Uhff
The French word for egg has the the double-o sound like in "look" or "took." Although some of the prices will make you say "Oof!"

Pediped (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2008/02/pediped_goes_big.php) - PEE-dee-pehd
Not pedi like pedometer; pedi like pediatrician.

Robeez (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2008/06/robeez_gets_air_conditioning.php) - RAH-beez
They were named for the owner's son, Robbie, at the height of the z's for s's craze.

Umi (http://www.coolmompicks.com/2008/09/i_saw_the_shine.php) - OOH-mee
These kids shoes do not rhyme with "yummy" but they probably should.

Some of these I never would have guessed, like Robeez. Pediped makes sense, I guess. Babesta is cute! Thanks OP.

Thanks for the info.!
I knew about Pedipeds from reading it on their website, but when I call around to B&M stores to ask if they have a certain pair in stock, and pronounce it the right way, they're like "Huh?" So then I say it the way everyone else thinks it's pronounced.
Robeez, I had no idea! Everybody pronounces those wrong, too.

Kind of like Chipotle; so many people I know pronounce it wrong (like ChiPOLte, instead of Chi-pot-le)- Aargh! :shake:

Fun! My youngest ds used to say something similar to your dc, except it was "What said?" I hated to correct it because I thought it was so cute.

Never heard of Babesta, but I love it!

I was about to say! Brigh-tax. Which I never knew until I called their CS one day. I'd always said "Bree-tax."

And don't forget Peg PEAR-eh-go or Kee-ko!
