View Full Version : Aaargh! My Radian XT SL not shipping until late November!!!

:32: Anyone have other shipping info! I'm so annoyed. I ordered it from babycatalog.com. Maybe I should have kept the 65 from diapers.com. Bummer.

Can you cancel the order? If so I would call Diapers.com and see when their expected ship date is. If it's going to be late too then I would just re order the 65 from Diapers.com (and FWIW, they have fresh seats, our Frontier's DOM was 8-22-08, and I ordered it on 9-28-09!:) BUMMER!

Ugh. I picked the one with the longest wait. I am now toying with the idea of getting one with an earlier delivery date.

The problem is that diapers.com only has the 40# ones so far and DS1 is already 35#. Maybe I should call them and see if they are getting the SLs in. You cannot beat the 1 day delivery and fresh DOMs. The 65 had an 05/09 DOM.

Hipmonkey.com will price match, but I don't know exactly what they do with matching coupons and all. Maybe if you show them your receipt they will match the price you paid? Worth a try anyway.

I have calls into Hipmonkey (wondering when they are getting the XT SLs) and into diapers.com (to find out if they will be carrying the SLs as they do not have them up on their website.) Should I just patiently wait for the XT SL instead of getting an 80 SL which may ship out earlier?

Honestly I would only wait for the XTSL if you know for sure that DS1 isn't going to have a problem Rfing past 40lbs. I mean that could be as early as 3/1/2 and then he may not know any different, but he could be like DD who at 2 or 2/1/2 was 33lbs, and now at 3/1/2 is somewhere between 33 and 35lbs depending on the clothes she is wearing so I honestly doubt she'll hit 40lbs for another year or two (who knows maybe I am wrong in estimating), but that could happen with your DS too and by then he might have some definite opinions on Rfing.

I'm definitely waiting for a 45# seat, just don't know whether I should order the 80 SL to see if that arrives way sooner. I'm shocked that diapers.com does not even know whether they are getting them!

What is the price difference you are looking at (XTSL vs 80SL)?

I got a super deal on the XT SL that is no longer available ($229) and that is how much I'd have to pay for the 80 SL through Hipmokey with their 15% off coupon.

The XT SL is allegedly shipping on Nov. 18. The 80 SL is allegedly shipping on Oct. 7.

So I guess hipmonkey won't match the price you got on the XTSL?

What are the chances that the seat will be installed outboard? And, how is your car for side impact crashes? (Trying to get at how important it is to have the XT vs the 80.)

Babycatalog used to have a sale price and then a coupon on top of that. Hipmonkey will price match other prices, not coupons though and babycatalog no longer has the sale price anyway.

My plan is to use the Radian RFing in the middle with DS1 and then FFing until DS2 needs the Radian to keep RFing. I guess DS2 will eventually use the Radian FFing, but I could keep it in the middle. We have a BMW X5. DS1 is in his Frontier right now and he can keep using that until we get the new Radian.

Ordered an 80 SL for $219. We'll see which one gets here first.
