DS2 has made no attempt to move when he is on his tummy. He does propel himself backwards if he is on his back and mad. :hysterical:

My ds was crawling by 8m. Both boys were scooching by 5m and really crawling by 6-7m.

Both my DC crawled at 7 months but I know plenty of children who did not start crawling until much later and a handful that never really crawled and went straight to walk.

DS crawled, really crawled at 10 months. Before that he sort of rolled, or dragged himself to get around.

DS1 was a late crawler too, so I am not at all concerned. Just curious. DS1 crawled at 9 mos and walked at 13 months - just like his parents. :D

DD crawled on christmas eve........she was 10months old.............we were in the car for six hrs. to see IL's.......got out the car, she saw their tree and all the tissue paper and bows/ribbons and decided to start crawling.........

she was a total roller..........she would roll everywhere and had no desire to crawl at all............as long as he is progressing I wouldn't worry too much...

DD didn't crawl until she was almost 9 mos. old. She was/is one of these kids that wants to be able to do everything on her own with zero help so until she was ready to crawl on her own she didn't do it. She also didn't walk well until she was 16 mos. old. A chip of her mom's block in both ways (however I think I walked a little earlier).

That is such a great Xmas present! Too cute of a story.... DS1 was a commando crawler at first. It looked like we had a tiny navy seal hiding in our living room. Funniest thing ever.

DS belly crawled at 8 months with great effort LOL. He would try to propel himself using only his big toe :love-retry: He walked at 13 months...both are very much average.

DD crawled at 6ish months I think? She walked around 10ish (bad mommy, I can't even remember without looking it up :wink2: ).

My DD started to crawl at 8 months and hasn't stopped moving since! There's a big range in gross motor development and mastery, so I wouldn't worry about it. And since your older one started at 9 months, that might be closer to when #2 starts to crawl. Enjoy the relative peace for now!

Just back to say I agree. Nothing at all worrisome about not crawling at 8 months unless you have other concerns :)

Wow! One or two would not be surprising, but 3 walking at 10.5 months is crazy!

My DS started crawling a week or 2 before he was 7 months. He is trying very hard to walk while pushing on his wheeled toys. He's also been cruising the furniture for a few weeks now.

DD1 crawled at 8 months exactly, DD2 will be 9 months this weekend and is still not crawling. She gets up on all fours and rocks but no forward movement yet (she scoots backwards and gets very mad ,lol)
